Im going to be launching my site very soon, although im concerned that i may not be good at catching people using stolen CC, etc. Is it essential to have anti-fraud software/protection?

How much does Kount Fraud cost ? i cant seem to find the answer.

Or if you have any advice please let me know.

What payment processor are you using? I use PayPal and although there have been a few occasions where someone steals peoples accounts and orders tons of stuff from my sites, for the most part I rarely have any problem with fraud.

I uses paypal and have no issue with it. If your items are big ticket item, maybe you can do a phone verification to confirm the order. That is what i do when customers purchase over x amount of items.

It's not your concern if someone lost /(exposed to somebody) their Paypal informations.

Trust me, paypal does zero verification or fraud protection. If the buyer does an unauthorized chargeback or files some other dispute, your money will be refunded by paypal; it's a bitch! I'd advice authorize.net if you are from USA/Canada, or 2checkout; they got pretty strong fraud protection measures.
