I have few blogs and they do "ok" in serps, but the only linking methods I am using are:
link trades (abc)
buying links on similar niche blogs

I want to do more stuff and I am willing to learn how to do it, if anyone could advice on where to start. I read about social site links, hubpages/squidoo, edu links, blog comments, profiles, article directories, link directories and so on. My problem is that I need to know exactly what to do and what methods are viable these days (do not forget penguin and unrelated links, and if I work in micro niches most of my links will be unrelated).

So like I said, I have blog and bought+traded links pointing to it. I want to gain more backlinks from other sources, where should I start from here?

thank you

what can pass Google's penguin and panda update is white-hat methods :)

It depends on your site's niche, keyword competitiveness, etc to select one out that is good for your website, however, from my point of view, SEO is an overall strategy. The more services you apply, the better and faster results that you can receive.

press release so far is the best link building :)

Where do I start?
Can you name few places where its pretty easy to be listed and get ******** backlink?
And how many words minimum? Duplicate content passable (not going to do unique content for each release)

By the way - isn't press realease for "serious" sites only, I mean nobody would list press release of so no name blog about "making money online" or whatever (not that I work with that niche, just asking - is it easy to get your press realease listed?)

Here is my method at the moment, with my bigger sites that I update all the time I use unique content and high quality manual links all done by myself. Then with my micro sites 1 - 3 pages, I spam the fk out of them, they come to the top and when they get penalized, I start all over again.

You should try just hand writing on free blog sites and article directories and link back to your site and then use automated software to send links to those links. It is cheap to do and you can get some additional links that will help your site and some may even drive traffic to your sites.

Correct way :) However my question was what methods do you use to get those high quality manual links. Like do you do 1 article per day, or few blog comments a day, or something else. My problem is that I am not sure where should I start. Lets say I wanted 100 quality backlinks in one month. Where is the best places to get those 100 backlinks? 3 in a day.

You can use blog commenting (but it should be well written and useful comment that bloggers agreed to leave it), press-releases, squidoo lenses

If you are serious about SEO, and ranking your blogs, I would say one of the best ways to gain links is Guest Blogging. Try also Guest Blogging in your relevant niche. There are some good websites, such as Myguestblog which I would suggest signing up to.

Remember it's quality over quantity.

Good Luck!

The short version is try to get good links and sites with similar content and good PR's...research and try a few things and see what works...people could write a book to cover it all in 1 post.

I wouldn't recommend blog comments anymore. Almost all of my sites that had part of he links from blog comments got hit during latest Google updates. Social marketing is the way to go these days. And I am not just talking about the damn Facebook. There are countless opportunities.

From what I know I think Blog comments are still ok...just as long as you write interesting, and meaningful comments which could be useful to the Author and other readers. I would avoid the Auto Approve blogs, because these are most likely to be hit with scam.

1. Analyze your competitors first and their strategy of link building.
2.Find out sites in your niche
3.Build links through deep link building technique.
4.Diversify your Anchor text
5.Maintain ratio of Do follow and No follow

Niche relevant blog commenting,forum posting,web 2.0 properties,guest posting,pad submission

Well said, Many people are behind do follow links alone, should maintain the ratio of both. . And all the others are also important. .

And i think press release and blog commenting are one of the best methods to try

Doing A LOT of guest posting and niche commenting at the moment, the good thing is the two go hand in hand nicely. Make enough relevant comments on a niche blog and it's easier to approach the owner.
