Another thing to know is that Register.com puts the domain on "Auto renew", but don't be scared, just a few weeks before domain expires next year you can transfer it to your favorite registrar without problems.

I got the same coupon last year and I have just moved my domain to internetbs with no problems.
The DNS control is my most important element of a registrar and they let you fully control DNS.
