I just bought Flippa.im

I just bought Flippa.im

My first thought was to sell the domain on Flippa but i noticed that their is an automatic restrection on submitting the name with Flippa, this was confirmed via the ticket support guy and they even did not want to buy it.

So i thought what can i do with this domain?

some of my ideas now are

1. To sell on BHW
2. Create a similar site and let everyone sell their sites for $10 with no commission
3. Sell only domains

What would you guys do with such a domain

I have been reading all your comments which are interesting.
I am now toying with an idea called Flippa Impressions
It will help people that cannot afford the high addons like Flippa Twitter post which cost a whooping $90 and many expensive addons like that or for people that just want more people to see their listing for a better chance of selling or selling higher using social media like facebook share and twitter retweet.

Good on you for getting the domain, however watch out for any notices to hand over the domain to the official Flippa organisation... I'm 99% certain that the name "Flippa" would be trademarked in some way.

I'm sorry but there's nothing I can do, Flippa is a trademark which forbids you to allow the domain on Flippa and we're not looking to expand the domains we currently own.

what is C&D? Recently i also bought misspleded domain, and in 2 weeks, I got message from Godaddy telling me that there may be trade mark stuff. etc.. but nothing yet

No, the official response will be when you receive solicitor's letters.

Feel free to ignore them as apparently you "can do anything i want"

Then wait to see the domain suspended at the registrar.

Well, in germany one guy made a fortune becuz he bought domains like mercedes benz, langnese, nestle etc when "the internet" was launched. but that was like 18 years ago. that guy was on the local newspaper and now hes a rich dick

buying domains, or better domainnames, and selling them, is an ancient idea and not worth doing.

I don't see why your giving OP a hard time... I'd have bought it. If a C&D letter comes in then just hand the domain over... Its only $10. It's peanuts.

What I don't understand is why Flippa don't want to buy the domain... Hell, they didn't even offer you like $50 for it.
