Google Panda Update in Next 7-10 Days

Everyone that wants to quit SEO right now, go ahead, it's probably too difficult. You should get out now and just count your blessings while you are ahead.

**Sound of me counting dollar bills**

As well as my penalized site, I'm going to push up the release date of my first personal niche site that I've created in.... months. I have hand-written every article on the site. Each article contains 1-5 pictures. Almost all articles are anywhere between 700-1,500 words and most articles contain a video of some sort, embedded from youtube. Its not a money-making site, its a hobby site (but I'll put a small amount of advertising on it). There will be 25+ articles, all of it incredibly unique content. I'm interested to see how this will do in the next panda update, besides being very new/young, because it is just so perfect for panda. The problem is I have a minimum of 5 more articles I need to write for the site and, well, with as long as they are... it can take awhile!

Then, not only do you have to add the articles, it takes a lot of time formatting articles this long to LOOK interesting and to add pictures and what-not :/

Its going to be really interesting to see how I fair this time. I believe that i've "panda" proofed myself fairly well :)

I've put a lot of work recently into making some quality sites that I'm proud of, today is the first day in about a month I've seen any upward movement. Hoping for more from Panda.

I don't think this update will be that huge. And some of you may have already noticed changes ( Mozcast is a great easy way to check the activity of the SERPs ).

All I can advice is add some good unique content. Good ones.

Me neither, in fact quite the opposite, rankings have been increasing VERY well over the past 6 weeks, all keywords nearly on page 1 which is extreme as their quite large sites and targeting all inner pages too...

Just give Google what it wants!, F*CK YOU G00gle!!!

lol keep telling yourself this while you rank for your <5000 searches/mth terms...

Also a major update already happened... so whatever. No one cares about Panda anymore and no one should. It's incredibly easy to prevent sites from being hit by it. It's Penguin that's the killer.

Personally, I cannot wait for this. All of the dumbasses that paid for shitty SEO are going to get what's coming to them and people like me will reap the benefits.

*tossles your hair* sure you will... I'm sure those social signals are totally gonna work some magic for ya and keep the spam out of your niche... because that's totally what happens after every update.

It's not like I just saw a site with only 450 pages of dupe content (100% the same on every page of the site) rank for one of the biggest terms in the SEO world recently... and it's still there.

Mozcast has also reported very big changes over the past week.

It might be a good idea to keep an eye on that for the next 5 or so days.

Just in time for the holiday rush! Matt Cutts wants to be the Grinch that stole Christmas from webmasters this year.

We should call him G00gle's Grinch and not to mention this name again on the forum.

It's good to know and note when these "updates" hit so that you can try to gauge if the game is changing or effecting you but you need to take these with a grain of salt because I feel that a lot of these "updates" are either phantoms or lies meant to stir up us SEO folks.

Want to escape google updates, or even thrive off them? Build brands, and have a shitload of unique content.

To those who are quitting SEO over algorithm updates: Great! More for me. ;)

as long as my vps's are runnin, aint no panda dat can eat me biyotchez!

Looking forward to this update, I've tried different strategy for Panda and hoping what I did a couple of months can pass the update.

To be honest Iam looking forward to this update.... not afraid or freaked out......

My sites are no where to be found, so for me, there's no where but up from here :)

Omg I love a nice Panda refresh right before the holidays.

I am reminded of my good old blog (1+ year and counting), just a hobby of mine. I didn't do anything special about it, no SEO thing and stuff. Whenever I wrote posts I didn't really mind about SEO because I just wrote whatever I wanted. This is probably the reason why I don't believe in paying SEO 'experts'. Earlier this year a new ranking algorithm entered and my blog ranked pretty well. Out of my 60 posts, around 40 of them are on the 1st page of Google search for their respective keywords (which, mind you, I didn't research haha). So, SEO is a wonder to me..and I have this gut feeling that Google is ranking blogs/sites who do not pay much attention to it. Or not.

I agree:

No SEO = Best SEO

I haven't seen any changes. Hope, it stays where I'm, missing all the updates till now majorly.

Big deal, I sure hope Matt and his bum chums can cope with my sites that are that diverse I could not care less. I have that many I could not care less, some win some lose. It is called do not stick all your eggs in one basket. I look forward to it Matt, you will never ever ever beat the real kidders. BHW all the way.
