How do you get verified on twitter? Are there any tricks or ways to make it happen faster?

I know there are tricks for musicians...like if you get on itunes, have a cd for sale on amazon...etc. Ive done that before. But I want to know if anyone has any experience with businesses. Twitter won't tell you the tricks otherwise everyone would be doing it.
Not something I know about, sorry. Hopefully someone can shed some light on it for you.

How to do it with a song on itunes? I know two people that deserve to be verified and they have two albums on itunes both sold a good amount...

Get on Itunes...get on Amazon ( you have to send them at least 1 physical album to sell) basically the more places you have your music on the better. Tunecore is a good service to use. Hit them up and youll be verified as a musician

and it's not far from the truth, you can get a verified badge, if you pay a few thousand dollars per month on advertising or you work for a company which is a twitter partner (pays for advertising) and they send a request to twitter about getting you verified

Learn from someone who has verified 25+ accounts 
A. You can join as an advertiser and spend 15k across 3 months (must be an active advertiser to retain verification)
B. Labels and other reputable independent contacts (me) have reps who we submit inquiries to. The process takes anywhere from 30 minutes to one month

You could put a background image with the verified logo in it and set it and the right spot !

That's actually a pretty good idea lol. I'll definitely do this but would twitter suspend you if they find out or something?

Yeah, they'll suspend you IF they find out lol.
Yup i've heard this as well for deceiving other users.

Yeah, most probably. It is against their policies to try to trick any users into thinking you are a true verified account and that policy was there even before they put the new backgrounds.

Join their translate program and post some quality translation and wait for a week or two to get that badge.
Important:
NEVER post in their forums something like 'when I'll get translator badge', 'I have x translations but I don't have badge' etc etc, doing that will decrease your chances of getting their badge.
