Hey all.

I am getting slightly annoyed with my copy of SER crashing my VPS every day lately.

Specs: 2.66 Ghz 1024MB 60 GB 6TB

I am running the copy with CS, private proxies and turned off the GSA fast indexer already a couple of weeks ago.

Now here is the catch, its running with only 5 threads!

Its delaying my 20ish campaigns atm and its breaking my balls to have constant delays and sending support tickets to my VPS provider.

Now they were saying i would maybe need a upgrade but as far as i know this would just buy me some 'running' time.

Any suggestions on this one? Getting kinda fed up not running this babe full force and all the extra problems...

As far as i know i dont get a bug pop up since the whole shabam crashes every time.

When i start the thing up and come back a few hours later i notice that things are already slower.

Just running GSA SER and never had any cracks running since i think i was one of the first who had a copy here after the initial email.

Regarding Sven, i had several email contacts in the past regarding this but never had a solid solution or answers unfortunally.

Im having my VPS at Hostamus but as far as i am concerned they are good.

Ah so you're running on a VPS with 1 gig of ram and the whole thing is shutting down. A VPS will automatically restart if you max out the resources. This isn't anything crashing, this is just how these VPS work. Are you only running GSA or are you running GSA, CS, etc? I bet ram is maxing out and causing a reboot.

My campaigns need 20 only verifieds a day but i want to step things up.

I also had gsa indexer running but the last weeks i dont use this anymore.

So you are saying the gig ram is too low for 5 threads?

A restart of CS once a day should be fine. The high memory usage could be caused by SER though and Sven is aware of this problem and investigating to find a solution for the case that its caused by SER.

11/16 - 264 links

11/17 - 10 links

11/18 - 9 links

11/19 - 1 link

And is happening the same with all my campaigns, Why is this happening and how can I avoid this??

What are your logs showing? Are you still getting results scraped or are you getting a lot of download failed/PR? errors? Some things you might consider doing is checking your emails used for pop 3 to make sure they aren't on any blacklist. (check blacklist button next to email field)

I usually switch out my emails after they have been running a while. You can also remove old keywords and try adding some new ones. Main thing is to make sure your proxies are working correctly.

I would guess you need more keywords. Once GSA goes through your KW list and scrapes everything it can find, at some point it has no more sites to post to. I would use G keyword tool and find a large list and then put that in the project. Save it and then restart it and see if you start getting some new links.

It is possible something is off in GSA but that is the first thing I would try.

Thanks for the suggestion, all projects have loaded the 100K top searched keywords list, I have no problem harvesting several hundred thousands keywords more with Scrapebox and adding them to GSA, can GSA hadle and upload a list of say 500K or 1M keywords? maybe scrapebox crashes too with that amount, anyway will try what you suggested.

Not sure why you state a restart of CS a day would be fine since this is clearly not the problem.

Anyway, what would you guys suggest how many memory you should have to run 50 threads without the vps problems i am having?

I had a VPS crashing daily as well. I would move to a different provider. I got a new VPS provider and it works completely fine and that VPS has half the RAM and I am running double the amount of threads.

I won't name the provider as they are a member here and I don't feel like causing trouble but I would try moving.

I like the look of this, I haven't used a tool like this for awhile, used to use scrapebox, AMR, AMD a few years ago. I'll look into the trial and if I like (I probably will) I'll buy this Is the trial version running the latest?
