Autoblogs Works in 2012?

Do yourself a favor and use a bit more time writing your own content instead of using Autoblogging software (like WP Robot) - it's not worth it. Google adjust it's algorithm all the time, trying to move those sites away from the top results.

Instead focus on one or two sites and write a couple of posts to each every week. You dont need to write 10 per day, just a few every week to keep it active.

How about image autoblogs? does it get penalized for unique content?
I mean if I edit the image with PHP (like add a watermark, so that the checksum of the image file is different), will google take pains to match the image with loads of others to see if the image is unique, or simple assume it's unique and take my blog as a genuine blog?
I'm thinking of making such a autoblog script...what are your views?

1) Adding a watermark won't help you because the algo analyzes compares the images but not file checksums. It won't even help if you filp it. However there are some other tricks that work.

2) Such automation plugins do exist already.

I've got some high PR autoblogs, so I guess it works . In fact it's a mix of copied and original content here and there. I'm usually copying only excerpts of text.

If Google adjusts its algo all the time, those wanting to do autoblogs should slap back all the time, by automating the techniques to get non-SEO/ranking traffic to their sites. Ranking is not the only game in town to get free targeted traffic, and Google has gotten just as ferocious about de-ranking small niche sites that aren't autoblogs, making the issue of the automated content moot. The future lies in building sites that are not as dependent on Google for traffic and earnings, be they autoblogs or not.

Actually it's very easy to do using existing autoblogging technologies and non-standard creative approach.
