THis is my 4th shitlist this year and the fastest ever. This dispute is over facebook PVAS. I paid $100 and I know he has no intention of delivering because he instantly blocks me when i determine it's fraudulent

One advice why do you guys do business with non approved sellers on bhw? You should only business with authentic and approved sellers.

There is no such thing as an 'approved seller'. Anyone can be a seller and anyone can be a scammer.

There's so many scammers and they keep changing their methods. The easiest way for BHW to stop most of them would be to to put newly registered accounts in a quarantine and monitored for suspicious activity such as lots of low quality, vague, non specific posts and or PMs. Such accounts should be banned and or lose privileges.
I look at it as a cost of doing business, but i should have been more careful. I win the majority of paypal disputes and those I do lose are written off.

Really? what I meant by approved seller or services is there is a buy sell trade section on bhw and there only approved seller/services (service thread approved by moderators) can sold. If you deal with newly joined members you will always have a higher chance of getting ripped off.

addressing some of the points made above..

definitely do not buy anything from newbies. under the forum rules, newbies are not allowed to sell anything to anyone under any circumstances. if you choose to circumvent the rules anyway, and then get ripped off, we can't help you much.

if you're solicited by a newbie and suspect suspicious activity, report the PM or contact a mod. we could've just looked into this guy for you and banned him before you even made the transaction.

at this point, i recommend you just go through with the paypal dispute.

Earlier this school year my son 'forgot' when 4 schoolwork assignments in row where due and failed to turn them in. He tried to convince me that it was purely non-intentional. As I told him, if they were handing out $100 bills, would he have managed to forget all 4 times? Probably not - he would have changed his plan after the 1st time and ensured he found a way to remember.

You have been 'ripped off' 4 times this year and yet, even on the 4th time, you are dealing with a member that has been here for only 3 weeks. Maybe it's time to change your plan so that you don't get ripped off again? Stop making deals via PMs with members that don't have a reputable history behind them - they literally have nothing to lose and your hard earned money to gain.

Soo... long story short - please try to learn from what YOU'VE been doing wrong to get ripped off... True, they are scammers - but you've made it too easy for at least this one.

FYI debts you write off can be put on your tax return as an expense.
