I'm wanting to buy scrapebox, but knowing how quickly "technology" changes, I wanted to check in with folks before I spent the money. Talked to a couple of people that had purchased it and they didn't use it. As far as I know, you can't legally transfer an SB license, so buying a used copy is out, so before I spent full price on a new copy I want to know if it's still useful, etc... Thanks in advance.

Well it is still usefull, but not for blasting links like crazy. Nowadays you have to use it with care. Quality over Quantity.
No blasts of 50K auto approve blog comments, but rather 1000 quality high pr blog comments (for money site).

Still great tool to send a bounch of links to your tier 1 and 2 properties.
So either way, still worth buying, in my opinion.

Of course, its worth every penny spent. But spamming the shit out of AA blogs is all you plan to do with it then you may well have to rethink your decision. :)

It's definitely worth it. As MollowBass stated, you can just blast your money site with a bunch of links and expect to rank. I use it to blast my tiers with pr-1's. My money site, however, gets a smaller amount of high quality links sent to it.

That depends on what you're planning to do. Begin by answering what tasks you want to automate, then get the tool(s), not the other way around.

Scrapebox is a useful tool for many things, but you've not said what your requirements are. For instance:
If you need to scrape specific footprints, yes, its useful.
If you want to mass blast auto-approve blogs, probably less so.

I would be lost without SB. Best tool for scraping, blog commenting, checking live links and pretty useful for checking indexed pages and PR. I reckon this and GSA search engine ranker are the 2 most essential SEO tools. A lot of people don't like SB because they don't know how to use it.

You can buy it without giving it a second thought. It's totally worth the price, rather much more than that.
You will recover the cost within a week or less if you know how to. :)

i have scrapebox and i hadn't use it , don't really know how to this days , can i resell the license ?

You've got the heart of it. I want the tool because everyone has it, and I figure the purpose for having it will become apparent as I learn to use it. Even though I think your advice is correct, I think I'm going to buy it anyways, lol.....

This used to be a must have tool for SEO. One of the first ones I would have recommended to buy. Now I find it's usefulness as a utility for different things. I wouldn't buy this tool to build backlinks with. If you need a good multipurpose utility than it's a must have. Everything from scraping to checking links to checking PR to a bunch of other things. Backlinking though, no. There are better tools for that.

I disagree buddy. I've seen it strengthen my tier 1 backlinks immensely especially if I have in my hand a good list of ******** pr1+ blogs to comment/trackback to.

If you want to buy a SEO software for link building, I would recommend you to look into GSA Search Engine Ranker. It might be able to help you a lot. The software:

- build links on autopilot basis once the campaigns were set up.
- you can build tiered links using the tool
- build niche/keyword related backlinks
- build high PR links
- build links on various platform, i.e. highly diversified
- many other features

In short, GSA Search Engine Ranker is a perfect tool for everyone in terms of SEO and link building.

Scrapebox will be always useful. Blasting your tiers, mass checking PR,search for high PR niche blogs and many many more.

Just buy it as it will be worth it even for this: When in 20 years you can say that you were proud owner of ScrapeBox "when you were young" and to brag around to youngsters on space forums and spacebook. :)
