I don't know it is my chance or not. No scanned ID, validation etc required. Having lots of domains there. My experiences:

1- $0.99 for INFO: I was buying as many as I want up to 2 days ago. Now a limitation: 5 per customer.
2- Last year we bought more than 260 COM domains (some for $0.99 and the rest for $3.99) for our project. I did not have any single problem except their crappy interface.

I have never had any issues transferring domains out and have taken advantage of these 1and1 deals many times. People should transfer out about 1-2 months before expiration and you need to make sure to CANCEL your contract after you transfer. If you don't they will still charge you.

Their CS isn't all that good, but how much support do you need for domains? I agree 1and1's UI isn't the best either but for 99 cents I can deal.

I guess due credit must be given to the OP for sharing this info; though shared before. Thanks mate . I do buy quite a few domains every month, so this info would save some precious money for the 1st year. Legit info would be used, so who cares about the ID proof etc.

That said, the hosting at least of 1and1 sucks biggg time. Their interface is a pain, terrible pain; and so is their customer service.

I also used 1and1 .co.uk long,long time ago with no problems.Guess its just luck of the draw but to be honest namecheap seem to be the best out there.

I usually keep a list of domains I am interested in buying so when these deals happen I can take advantage. Nobody ever said 1and1 was great registrar and you should understand the contract before you buy.
