How to avoid duplicate content punishment when submitting articles

I am writing a lot of articles now.

But it would suck to rewrite them all for my websites or for the article directories, so that I dont get punished by google for duplicate content.

I think though that I found a way to workaround.

First I write the article, then post it on blog, then I submit the link to blog on Digg, Reddit and maybe a few more. THEN I submit my article.

What I found is that my blog posts get index in les than 24 hours.

So, when the article is published, I will have the content indexed first.

What do you think of this?

You should submit your articles to ezine in first place, so it isn't reported as duplicated content.

I have over 22 articles on ezine and every single one of them I had posted to my blog and dugg, reddited, twittered, etc... them just prior to submitting to ezine and every one was approved without any problems.

It sucks don't do it. Never ever use the same content on your site and on article sites or similar. Just make 2 copies. I don't understand why is it so hard to do this. Instead of 20 articles make 10 org. and 10 rewrites. The effect will be better on the long run. If Google catches you with duplicated content it will not penalize you but it wont treat you as a high value source. The goal that Google aims is for everybody to add a value to internet.
And Google will always trust Ezine articles or some high authority side before your site. I mean duplicate penalty can be described in 2 ways. If you have 100% duplicated content you are no value site so you get deindexed sometime. If you have the article that is duplicated on some other page, Google will rank better the page that is part of high authority site (like ezine).
It's all pure logic. I mean, if you are lazy to do it right, than don't do it at all.

You can download Power Article Rewriter, invest 1-2 hours in rewriting the article and use those rewrites for article sites, but do profread them. It's not exactly like having a new article but it's better then just c/p the article.

I do a lot of article marketing for my white hat niche blogs (all outsourced). Although there are many strategies for getting backlinks and traffic via article marketing, ideally, ALL of your content should be unique. Yes, there are shortcuts, but your search engine rankings will suffer because of it. I have my best results when submitting unique articles to article directories and posting unique content on my blogs.

thanks but I am not sure about PAR. its used to make many rewrites of one article yes? its not fast to use for only one rewrite? isnt wordflood just as good for that?

Yes wordflood is the same thing but it just makes 1 rewrite. With PAR you make a lot of rewrites which is good to use for Article sites. Although I agree with imfh ideally everything should be unique but you should also follow the 80:20 rule. So you do what gives you the best results for the least time spent. So IMHO 1 unique article for blog and 1 unique for article sites are must. But you can then rewrite with PAR this article for article sites so in a way you will have almost unique version for each article site Or something like that. For article sites if you are doing them only for Link Building you don't need to have article that ranks well you only need to be indexed so you get a link from those sites.
This is just my way, I use Articles only for link building but many do it for traffic so they have different strategies.

Here's a hint, what gets indexed first has no bearing on what's considered the original or the duplicate. Never has been, so not sure why you even think that.

Yup its a good tool. And some guys on this forum said that you even get the best results when you rewrite whole sentences, it takes a bit more time but it looks so much natural, that is if you want higher quality rewrites.

IMO, it should not matter if you are submitting to article directory. Dun think the big G will penalise you for promoting your webpage via legit method of article marketing. If you are still paranoid, Pm me and i work out something for u.

It is better to have diffferent versions of the article for your blog and for submission to article directories. You can improve your rate of acceptance by the article directories if you use services like Unique Article Wizard - which essentially spins your article and submots it.

The date the content was first spidered has nothing to do with who is the authoritative page for said content. Never was, most likely never will be.
