I asked Amazon Associate via Email if they allow simple link cloaking via Wordpress Plugins like Pretty Links Lite and Link shortening services. They replied that is NOT prohibited to use Link Cloaking or Shortening services but you should state that the link is taking them to Amazon. Also the Disclaimer page is necessary.

Good job! Thanks man! :)

I was about to ask you what effect did the latest EMD update have on your sites... but I can see that it was already answered here.

My own sites have been obliterated 60% but I can tell you that the Exact Match Domains I've bought from are still getting traffic (how do I know? well, I see Amazon sales ;)

which leads me to wishing I didn't stop building sites (I did when G rolled out the EMD update)..

I was just devastated that the big site I was working on with over 60+ pages have been slapped by G. It survived the Penguin update (my traffic even rose) but I can't understand why it was taken down with the latest EMD update - it's not even an Exact Match Domain!

This may be off topic, but it is about amazon.

For those of you with sites that try to monetize amazon, how many unique clicks (on average) do you guys get daily on your amazon links?

I apologize if this has already been covered. I read through, but may have missed something. With this method you are using your own custom images (screenshots of the product page), and linking those images with your affiliate link, correct? And this is ok with Amazon? I am asking because I would like to use either my own custom images, or resize the banners Amazon supplies you with. I am just worried about violating the TOS.

Thanks!

Hi LBrown,

I was wondering if the number of affiliate links on a post make a difference. If I use crazy good tools to insert 3 products with titles, then I have six links, plus adding the button below adds a seventh. If I have a long post, then I'd probably want to add more pictures and link those as well.

So, is there such a thing as too many links to Amazon in one post?

Thanks

Since what you're planning to do is different than what I do I can't answer that. You should contact Amazon to see if what you're doing is okay.

I don't put more than six affiliate links on a page. Lately I've just been doing one. If you have too many links you risk looking like a thin affiliate site.

With crazy good tools you only need one link for each product. Put the image and the title in the same link separated with a
Code:

This is one of the best instructions i have ever seen..very good.

Great method OP!

Just signed up with amazon since i want multiple online income streams and amazon can be a next steady provider.

Came back to BHW and noticed your method. Looks KISS, and i like these kind of sites a lot. Just click and set, litterally.

Will set up a dozen sites next week after i do my keyword and domain homework.

Rep given.

Thanks for this. Easy to do and well explained. A question I have is if you can make good money from amazon if you don't promote expensive products. I looked into it a week ago (I'm anewbie, just started out) and 4-8.5% of the price of most products is very very little. So how do you get to increase your earnings if you can't get tons of traffic because you're a newbie and not very good at SEO?

First, you can make good money if you don't promote expensive products. This is because cheap products convert better. A lot of my sites are for cheap products so that my commission rate is higher and my sites with higher priced products are even more profitable. It is very difficult to reach those higher commission levels if you are only promoting expensive products.

Second, you can increase your earnings by becoming better at SEO. Everyone who now makes an income from SEO at one point knew nothing about. For physical products there is simply no better traffic source than SEO traffic. There is no traffic that will be more targeted. SEO isn't difficult; it is just tedious.

out of 100 people that come to your site, how many will buy a product on amazon? can you give an estimate, so i can calculate which keywords might be good to use.
thank you for this great thread

Do you suggest having a different webpage for each blog?

Or is it possible to have a single webpage linking to all your blogs, on the same domain?

EG: url/xxx1

The reason I ask is I'm worried search engines wont find xxx1 xxx2 xxx3 as easy as they might find the original webpage, am I correct?

For arguments sake lets say all the xxx's are different models of cars and the main site is a Car information site.

Thanks
