new ebay user. cant get my funds released. need help :(

i sold an item and i got the money from customer.

I went to my paypal account and found out it says Funds not yet available.

I called paypal and they said its ebay policy that your funds wont get released until the item is actually delivered to the customer because i am a new user and i dont have any sale history or feedback.

this is sucks..

i am wondering if there is any workaround or someone can help me out?

No, there isn't - unfortunately.

New sellers have a 21 day hold on their paypal funds. Usually you can get it a bit quicker - about 3 days after delivery is confirmed. If you shipped with a tracking number that works and uploaded that info.

Sometimes funds are not subject to a hold and are released as they come in. Why ? Most likely a glitch in the system, no one could figure that out yet as to how they determine when what who....

The hold should be lifted after 90 days but this is also not a sure thing.

The new ones always have to face a lot of problems with the funds at the start but usually PayPal isn't that bad.

It all comes down to what kind of items you sell , as i have plenty of new stealth accounts and despite this fact i was never been issued this "21 days hold until delivery".Maybe the category im selling and items are not high risk or big brands etc or even location and i am able to slip this annoying hold.If they tell you that there is a 21 days hold on your funds you have to provide tracking information that the item is delivered to the customer and then they will release your funds.

Unless it is a high value item or unless you have dire need for money, there should be no problem trusting a company like eBay. Unless of course the other guy is a scammer which too may not work in his favor if you ship with tracking details and proof

If you provide a tracking number then the wait is normally reduced to 7 days. Sometimes you
can receive your money within 3 days depending on the status of your account and what you are selling.
Remember that eBay has its "high risk" and "low risk" items that they have no problem classifying.

Exactly, In this case the customer could easily pull "buyer fraud" on you and your screwed.
Make sure you provide some type of tracking number.
