I have 3 sites I own. One that's my main website and two are local site for my friends. The two sites for my friends have no backlinks, and my main site has 10000 of thousands backlinks. My question is I put a home page link to both sites on my mainsite and after the resent page rank update both my friends sites went up to a page rank 4 while the main site with all the links is a pagerank 3. Can someone please let me know why this is happening. Thanks

Honestly? Just disregard PageRank. PR is no indication of SERP ranking. And neither is it an indicator of higher traffic assurance. There are way too many algorithmic factors which work out the Pagerank. Just enjoy the PR when it lasts. Increase the banner prices, sell new advertising slots - or just sell the sites meanwhile

Agree with rankgeek.... Nowadays PR is just a source of earning money.... Nothing else..
