Hey Guys,

I just bought a EMD domain name from sedo a few months back. Originally the website ranked on the 1st page of google, had a few pages and google adsense revenue box to the right. The website has been effected by the panda update and hence the seller sold it. I am the new owner and have changed the namespaces, hosting etc etc.

Currently the website is still indexed on google but doesn't rank for the EMD keyword. Its a .org.uk domain extension and I intend to rank it back on google.co.uk. I will be re-doing the whole website on wordpress with high quality content. My question is how hard is it to rank a EMD that has been effected by the panda update and if someone (possibly who may have been effected by the update) would point me in the right direction to rank it back on the 1st page.

Thanks,
Ket..

It's no harder or easier than any other site. If its was affected by the EMD update it wasn't penalized, it just had the EMD bonus removed.

Thanks for the replies.. Are you saying that EMD doesn't have any benefits anymore..? Cause they are other sites with EMD that are still ranking on the 1st page, the only difference is quality content. My conclusion is EMD with quality content = 1st page - but correct me if I am wrong..

It's always possible to revive an affected website. You seem to be on the right path. Put up as many pages of high quality content as you can and make sure the URL structure is clean. Also, check out the backlink profile on ahrefs.com and determine what types of anchors you need to increase/water down.

you sounds like post spammer newbie?
I am not a newbie spammer. Just want to know, if anyone managed to rank a site back after being effected thats all. And if they did, what things did they do. I have done a search on the forum and "Quality content" seems the top things at the moment. Just want to know if there are any more tips or suggessions, thats all..
