Hey Guys,

Just a simple question...

hypothetically, if I told you tomorrow I could deliver to you a targeted opt-in list of 1000 people to sell products/offers in XYZ niche, would you pay $1,000?

Traffic would be coming from Media Buys with high impressions, so lists could be created in as little as a day or sometimes a few hours.

I think it would really depend on how targeted the traffic is, and it what niche.

On a serious point I think the price per opt in you mentioned is very high. Even at the best conversion rates it wouldn't be feasible. Just my opinion though.

I'm talking, a landing page targeted to your site, they are signing up on to your list/offer. That targeted.

Yeah, i mean, if you can bring me visitors who want to buy expansive techy things, for 1$, its a steal. Thats what I meant.

if they are extremely targeted i think thats a good deal

No, because let's face it.. If someone has a list they can send offers out to, they aren't going to sell them... Not to mention if they are selling them, then there's a reason, because the lists don't convert well. Also it's like buying blind folded, you don't know how many of those people are legit, how many will even buy or even open it, etc. Leaves way too much room exposed to waste money without knowing the full details.

If they are very interested then why not? If you could lower it a little bit more then that would be better since we don't know if we can make sales or not. I need spanish leads though in the USA

People say 1 opt in is worth $1 but in reality its little bit less than that, unless you have some super list or some magic.

Of course, the lower the price, the better
im just sayin

IMO, $1/optin is expensive. As many of the fellow members mentioned above, it all depends on the worthiness of niche and the list should be upto bull's eye target.

Wouldn't you rather sell a list of 1000 emails to five people in different niches making 5, 000$ a day?

I'd rather NOT pay for list leads because that is not a guaranteed sale. I would rather split money per sale than pay for a lead when 70% of all leads in the cpa industry are fake. Taking that data, what makes you think that I would even pay for leads from pure media buys? Maybe amateurs would want to buy into it, but let's be really honest here. Any type of money to be made comes from affiliates selling your products. Does list building work? Yes, rates of opt in lists yield on average 5% of the total sign ups into a sale. This is for targeted leads, so don't go "DERP!!! HERP DERP HERP DERP!! its for just leads." With a conversion rate that is on average for that, and seeing that people on here really do fail at ad copy, I would say that it will be around 0.1% conversion rate on average here.

I really do look at things from both sides. Sometimes you will get cheaper sales by just opting in for leads. Most of the time it is better to just get that quality affiliate and just give them a nice 40%-60% commission from the referrer sales.

Hey,

Thanks for the responses, I have the answers I was seeking.

Why not just build your own list and monetize it.
