Proxies vs VPN for multi-account creation?

I'm learning about proxies and VPN for creating several accounts and avoiding mass bans. And I have a few questions which one is best to use.

1. For proxies, my understanding so far is to use L2 at a minimum. I think cost goes for about $2 each.

2. VPN costs about $10/month. A VPN masks my true IP but once I create for example a yahoo account do I need to disconnect and connect again to get a new random IP to create another account?

I understand that each time I log into the accounts created the IP log will be different. Does this look suspicious or admins will just know that I'm using a VPN? Non-BHW members use VPN just for anonymity and not just to create lots of accounts, and admins know this, right?

It seems like if I'm making 100 accounts then a VPN would be more cost efficient.

What is your preference, VPN or proxy?

A single VPN by definition does not give you more than one IP you know...

I'm using Private proxies for account creation they are hiding your real IP 100%
But 2$ for each proxy is too expensive....

actually it's not, if you buy only 1 or 2 dedicated private proxies
if you buy them in bulk, then you're right, that price would be too expensive

@OP: with VPNs most of the times there are different plans to choose from, it should be stated somewhere on the order page that exactly how many IPs/servers from which country go with each plan, the IPs are not unlimited, needless to say: more expensive plans mean more IPs and usually other benefits
later you can switch between these IPs using the software they provide
it's not enough to just disconnect then connect, because it will give you the same IP, but you need to disconnect first, select a new IP/server using the software and just then connect again
and only the premium/most expensive plans comes with dedicated IPs, chances you'll use shared IPs and they were used by someone before you for the same purposes/they're already blacklisted especially if you go with a popular provider like the above mentioned HMA

i'd say with proxies you can be more flexible, creative, but before buying any, you should always ask the provider, if the proxies are good for the job you want to use them for and if they allow replacements

Most VPN's are just a connection that you're connecting through. There are certain VPN's (HMA) that act more like TOR than a traditional VPN.

Good proxy providers will let you rotate proxies every 30 days.

Probably a dumb question but how do you use proxies in a browser? From what I can see, most ask for a VPN and you can't add a list of proxies. I hope i am wrong though as I buy 50 semi-dedicated proxies each month to run through my programs which I could add to my browser too.

Yeh I added it ages ago when I wanted to watch Netflix whilst abroad and it was so slow I gave up and haven't really used it since. To be honest I had forgotten about it

not the tool was slow, but your proxies and/or your internet connection, even foxyproxy cannot speed up the net :)

The thing about VPNs is that you run out of IPs eventually, they will mask you a lot better then a proxies but there are not as many IPs in a VPN as there are proxies. Private proxies should do fine anyway.

For VPN you can use Hide My Ass.
I am getting Elite proxy for free using Proxy Goblin.
