Honestly, it sounds like a lot of people in this thread are just afraid of doing some actual work.
Look at what's consistently done well this year - guest posting with quality (read, not $0.005 a word) content on relevant websites that are not accepting every guest post under the sun.
You can still manage all this with your feet up, everything can still be automated/outsourced (if that's your sort of thing). But if you're still looking at xrumer/scrapebox blasts or mass blog commenting with generic posts, it's little wonder you're getting nowhere.
Take a step back and reevaluate. None of this shit is even being "creative" or "thinking outside the box".
