recovering is easy these days, most hosting providers do the recovery faster. Better to take extra care next time

Yup, happened to me too. A hacker got through one of my sites and infected all my sites on the server, all wordpress sites. I paid someone to clean and fix everything but it was too late, Google punished all my sites in search and I lost too much traffic. Took me awhile to recover emotionally, believe me.

BlackHat is not about SEO... BlackHat SEO is doing SEO the BlackHat way.

A BlackHat is juste someone doing some illegal stuff on internet/computer

there is a lot of ways to hack a website.
The easyest might be SQL injection (as you say),but it can also be url include, unecurized upload, ftp hacking, ddos, xss, csrf....

But if you fix the problem fast, there isn't any reasy to have a loss in ranking or trafic

I know, not fretting it. Just thought I'd share and let people know. Many host with the cheapest hosts out there, who hardly give a fuck if their own site gets hacked, much less their clients'. So this might be a good reminder for people to do their due dilligence before buying a hosting package, paid in advance for 3 years.

I think the cheap hosting with so many shared sites is the culprit. Even if you are vigilant it could easily be someone elses **** up that lets people access other sites.

Ouch sorry to hear that, what methods were you using to protect your site from hacks before the hack? if any
