Do you pay tax.

There are two things certain in life - death and taxes.

Let's not forget what happened to our friend Mr Capone.

I pay my taxes. For now. If my income becomes big enough I will try to avoid paying so much tax (in a legit way). Till now it's just not worth the risk.
Take care,
D.

I'm LMAO here at all those naive people thinking that taxes are only that flat number (e.g. 15%) or that taxes pay for the stuff we take for granted.

<stretching fingers and mentally preparing for a long write>

Everything in the universe is a transformation. This transformation takes energy. To make money takes energy. You essentially give away your energy to obtain money. Theoretically you do this so you can afford to buy stuff that otherwise would cost you extreme amounts of energy to produce yourself. Keep that in mind while I go ahead.

First of all, if you have a 15% tax in your country (or whatever) that is not the tax you pay. You pay a shitload of other taxes which you forget about. For example you pay several taxes for every single product at every single stage. Let me explain. You need to build a road. For that you need machines/equipment. Those cost $X. Of those $X a percentage is tax the manufacturer pays. But manufacturer had to buy the parts to build those machines. Those parts had $Y price of which a percentage were taxes payed by the manufacturer of the parts. That manufacturer had to buy sub-parts which again had a tax and the guy who built the bolts and nuts had to pay a tax too, and the guy who provided the metal for the nuts and bolts payed a tax too. And they payed taxes for their profit but also payed taxes indirectly for spendings like electricity, fuel, logistics, etc. so you have a multi-level system where at every level you pay several taxes. Now you may think you do not pay those taxes, but in fact you do. The companies must maintain profit so they must cover all taxes in order to do that. The only person who looses in this system is the end user which is the regular citizen that is supposed to benefit from X or Y. In other words, the price you pay for something is big enough to cover all taxes at every single level + profit of the service or product provider. If you would start to add up all these taxes - direct and indirect - you would see that largest part of a price is made up of taxes.

Now, like that was not enough, somebody had the bright idea to invent a credit system. So now you want to borrow $100 and end up paying $100+interest. The $100 you spend and from that a lot of it will be taxes and the interest will generate profit for the bank which will also get taxed. Even more cool is that from the money you borrow you essentially only use a tiny fraction. If that was not evil enough for you, let's say you make a credit for $200,000 to buy a house. You end up paying $250,000 or so but only benefit from the $200,000. You calculated all this and you know you can afford it. Let's say however that 3 years from now the bank raises the interest rate to a point where you can't afford to pay anymore. YES, they can do that, you signed a contract which allows them to change the interest rate at any time and you can't do shit about it. So you payed $100,000 so far and can't pay anymore. What happens? They keep the $100,000 (obviously) and take the house too. You have just provided the bank with $100,000 free money and spend the past few years not buying what you wanted so you could afford to pay your monthly rate. Does that sound familiar to you? It was the engine that drove part of the economic collapse.

But wait, we are talking about taxes. I guess I made it clear that most of the money you pay is taxes. Directly or indirectly and multi-level. Even just directly there are products that have a shitload of taxes. Like gas for example. Or alcohol. Or salaries. Well, everything really. But wait! Salaries? Yes! In my country specifically, if you are an employer and want to pay your employee $1000 net, then you actually have to spend $1850 because $850 goes in salary taxes. Part of that are the taxes the employee pays and part of it are the taxes that you as employer pay. You have to consider the taxes your employee pays because you essentially have to provide him a net salary big enough so he is happy with it to work for you. So you can't say it's the employee's problem. It is your problem. Of those $850 (85% for the math challenged of you) only 16% is income tax in my country. The rest are other taxes (health, pension, social security, etc).

Anyway, you got to make some profit with your company. Now is time to pay 16% of that profit as profit tax. Now your COMPANY (not you) has a clean, net profit. But what if you want those money for YOURSELF? Well, you give yourself dividends on which you pay 16% again as profit tax as you the PERSON now (the previous 16% was payed by you the COMPANY).

But well... we all manage to survive somehow. This is good though, right? It is for the well being of all of us, right? So that we can have a fire department, healthcare, roads and infrastructure, schools, etc. Right? Nope!

First of all, while this is not the case in US, here where I live the roads are worse than the surface of the Moon. Yet we pay road taxes integrated into the fuel and we borrow money from EU/IMF/etc. to build highways, but somehow, the money get consumed and the highway are not built. Guess who has to pay for the interest for IMF. I do. But that is not the case in most developed countries like US & UK, right?

Ok... be it. Let's talk about healthcare then. First I tell you a story. I had an icecream. Got sick from it, thought I had my stomach perforated or something. Hurt like hell, dizzy, could barely stand up straight. I go to ER at my hospital. One single doctor who was busy and about 20 nurses who were sitting on their ass. I am told to wait. I wait but not long, they tell me they have a bed for me. I go in and after 3 minutes they tell me to go out again because they need the bed. I ask them what is wrong with me, if i'm ok, ask them to at least do a basic check because I feel very bad. At this point I can barely talk, stand straight or walk. I am completely soaked in sweat. I stand up to walk to get out again but can't walk fast. I can barely walk because I don't even know where is right and where is left, where is up and right and wtf I am or what I was supposed to do. So, this triage nurse male mofo calls the fking security. Two big guys come to get me out. Somehow those two guys see I can barely stand so they don't push me and kinda look surprised at the nurse dude. My mother (she took me), gives the doctor lady the holy bribe and also to a nurse (less money to the nurse). They immediately find a bed for me. The nurse immediately makes me 2 shots and then when I start to shiver uncontrolled (i was very cold) gives me a calcium shot too. Then the doctor sends another nurse to take me and do me x-ray. Then they do an ultrasound scan, blood lab tests, everything you'd imagine. I only had food poisoning it seems. Now, you would think that I pay no healthcare and they only treat insured people at ER. Nope. They have to treat anybody (insured or not) and I do pay healthcare. Yet, somehow, without the holy bribe they would simply not move their asses to help me. So, you see, it is hard to tell me I take things like healthcare for granted.

But leaving that behind, let me explain to you how the healthcare system works in all countries. It is simple. Big Pharma gives fat incentives to doctors and doctors push their drugs to the patients. If the doctor would have to choose between some herbal tea or an expensive drug to achieve the same effect he would obviously give you the drug. also he would give you all the drugs you need and almost need. So if you only need 1-2 drugs because you have flu/cold, he will also give you 5-6 other drugs which you don't really need, though as a medic he knows very well that it is IMPOSSIBLE to tread influenza. Yes, if you have the flu you can't treat it. You can only get drugs to survive it (you could die from it otherwise, as our ancestors), but only your immunity system will get you well when it will catch up with the rate at which the flu virus is being generated by your body. If you though you take pills to heal, you were wrong. You take pills to help the immunity system and survive through the process. You can take drugs to mask the symptoms (boogers, fever, headaches, etc) but they just mask the symptoms, they do nothing against the flu. With or without drugs, flu requires about 2 weeks to end - that is how much time it takes to the immune system to produce antibodies at the required rate. If you have some really bad disease, well, that is quite profitable for them.

This crap happens in every single area of life. Health, education, media. Everywhere you look, every system is against the human being. That is the bottom line.

But there is one thing I have not addressed. What happens to all those taxes then? Where does the money go? It goes to those who control the system and no, they are not the government. The government is just the mob bully who goes to collect.

Hence, excuse me if I do not have an orgasm and tears of happiness in my eyes when I have to pay taxes. Excuse me for not feeling overwhelmed by all the things that are given to me for granted. Excuse me for using my own mind, seeing the obvious and not believing and repeating the garbage that was fed to me since I was born.

Roses are red
Violets are blue
Those taxes, one way or another, get payed by you too

^ fking rhymes, aye!

Now, like that was not enough, somebody had the bright idea to invent a credit system.

Well, the credit system is the base of capitalism since without it you could not have capital flow from savers to investment :) I may be a hoarder and do nothing with my money, but for a small profit (interest) I may be willing to lend you some to make your cool frozen bat milk idea a reality. Do it in large scale and add a medium and you have the banking system.

First of all, while this is not the case in US, here where I live the roads are worse than the surface of the Moon. Yet we pay road taxes integrated into the fuel and we borrow money from EU/IMF/etc. to build highways, but somehow, the money get consumed and the highway are not built. For those who don't know how it works, it usually goes like this. The government (either the main or some municipality) makes a public request for offers for a road. The contractor that has close ties to the gov officials handling the case goes and gives the lowest possible offer (below profit). Then, two things happen: a) He makes the road using the worse materials and quality to make a profit (since his offer is ultra low + he has to pay a big % to the gov officials) and the gov says ok or b) he purposefully takes a long time without doing nothing and the gov officials manage to secure an extension and extra funds. This is the best scenario as then he will deliver a better than shit quality road and the gov officials will make even more money. In both cases, the tax payers happily fund the venture :)

Yep. Classic. People from the US/UK can't believe this is commonplace in the public health care system that 's not able to spend unlimited funds from the tax payers money to the health vultures (for example in a country that 's under IMF supervision and has to spend logically instead of whatever as normally). I hope they never have to live that experience.

There are other ways too - some dumb simple (mafia style), some intricate and diabolic (hint: read Confessions of an Economic Hit Man by John Perkins and The Shock Doctrine by Naomi Klein and some harder to find material on PSI war and mass mind control schemes).

The Shock Doctrine by Naomi Klein

I can't read books from economic illiterate authors - hits hard on my nerves, especially when they present the historical facts wrong as she does :o

Here 's 20 (!) pages of devastating critique exposing the book for what it is - a sham. I think you 'll enjoy the part where she purposely fakes a chronology that does not fit with her theory :)

1.can't a company get out of paying employer taxes by actually having the workers work for a foreign registered company?
2. Not everyone signed a contract that allowed the banks to change the interest rates, alot of people do a fix interest rate contract.

Even on fixed rates, usually there 's a clause that the bank can change the rate under extreme circumstances etc.

I never read a mortgage contract before,so I didnt know. I personally don't see the attraction of getting a loan to buy a house,a loan imho should only be used to expand your business if you have a clear plan for doing so.

I have no idea. How would that help though? To incorporate in a tax heaven you need to have a high profit or it is not worth it.

Sometimes they increase because of what Jazzc said, other times they go and cry in the lap of the politicians and the media owners (a.k.a. lobbying) so the media pushes the preparation material ("oh, poor banks are in trouble, must save them. The gov. should do something."), the gov. plays hard to get and then "eventually agrees" and allows banks to increase the rate. Hell, if the banks play nice they might even get a few trillions like in US lol.

Jazzc - thanks a ton for the critique link. Even if the book got the facts completely wrong it was still helpful for me because it kinda gave me ideas and helped me frame things in a certain way, which indirectly conducted to me developing certain areas of mine.

How is it not worth it to incorporate a business in Bulgaria instead of somewhere in the U.S. when you are first starting out?

An LLC in the states may sometimes cost as little as (I believe) $0. In my state its $150.

For me to do anything even outside my state it costs $300+ to hire the company + to have the registered agent as them. Getting one out of country is even more expensive. The only time its beneficial is when you're making enough money to be able to afford it, and you'd be able to save atleast the cost of doing it every year. You may also require a tax lawyer and CPA incase some financial person gets nosy.

I pay nothin. helps 100% if you live in a developing country like I do. much easier to dodge t@xes here. my BH money goes to my wife's bank account in another 3rd world country next door. whats great is not only is it cheap as chips to live here(i prefer to live in pattaya thailand for its cheap hookers and beaches) but I also pay n0 taxes. life is GOLDEN. ;)
