Hello everyone.
I am new at BHW and Internet Marketing!! Its been few weeks and i have been reading many posts and tutorial here on BHW. Which i find the most easy to understand and with very very good information. After gaining some knowledge on web design and adsense. I thought of giving a try.

I am not that good at web-programming but yes i have some knowledge in web designing, and have designed some few websites too. But, i am not even close to the ones here in BHW.

Moving to the topic, i am planning to build a website which is going to contain a image(not exactly image ) with descriptions about it. I want a rating system to contain in the website, so visitor of websites can rate them. And i want the top rated Pictures to be displayed on the Home Page of my Website.

So, my question is. Which CMS is best for it??? Or which CMS can be easy to use to create such type of websites???

I like to recommend you Wordpress CMS
PHP BAsed.

Secondly, CMS is also depends on your requirements- which kind of website you need to develop ?
As you are looking for images and descriptions based website - then go for WP and with Pinterest theme.
WE already developed many websites like it.

So, Cheers !

Agree with above. Though WordPress isn't designed especially for this purpose, I'd definitely recommend it as it is easily modified into something like this with themes and plugins.

Hi ... I agree re: word press, but not if and when you hit 15000 visits per day. WP wobbles, a lot, at this and higher activity levels. If you can custom build from ground-up, do it. Whatever you do, stay away from Code Ignitor: it's a mess from the get-go, requires too much tweaking and tinkering. Good luck. dgp

Building from ground-up is a hectic work. Plus i am not that good with programming. So, i guess i will be sticking with wordpress.

If you need something which is easy and user friendly then Wordpress is the way to go! :)

None of the CMS is easy if you have a less knowledge regarding them but you can try your hands at Magento as it is comparitively easier than the other CMS's..

Try wordpress, rocks!!!! You will find plugins and designs for every desire u'll have

Obviously Wordpress. This can be done in 3 days using WP :)

I'm guessing you can do this sort of thing in any CMS. The best thing about Wordpress is that it's very popular and most internet marketers use it for their website. So if you run into any trouble, you won't have any problem finding help.

Agree, try Wordpress. Huge amount of free plugins & great community.

I would advice you to go for wordpress easy to customize and you will get very good theme for your niche too

Hello kismat

I'd suggest you use Wordpress along with one of the Plugins below:

- "PhotoContest Plugin"
- "NextGEN Gallery" along with the Plugin "NextGEN Gallery Voting"
- "Like Photo"
- "PhotSmash Galleries"
- "WP Photo Album Plus"
- "Yet Another Photoblog"
- "PhotoQ Photoblog Plugin"

I would say wordpress and joomla are two best cms avaialble but i would prefer to go with wordpress myself its easy to customize

Simple, Wordpress...

If you're new it's the easiest one to use with the most community support/plugins IMO - but it is easy.
