There are many different components of blackhat marketing that attracts people from all walks of life, This thread is to highlight both the positive and negative inspirations for becoming a black hat marketer, which ones you should focus on, and which ones you should throw out the window and to also serve as a general strategic approach to this world.

Many people are overwhelmed when they first set foot into a community like BHW with an endless amount of information. Some good, some bad. They get caught in this endless perpetual state of seeking, learning, and imagining.

This is a good state to be in for a short period of time, but it is a very dangerous state to stay in for extended amounts of time. The reason why it's dangerous is because it is very easy to get in a habit of reading methods, feeding off others success, and asking questions like "how much are you making now", "how much could I make if", "is it worth trying", "has anyone tried this yet", etc etc.

We'll here's some info, take it to heart ... for the most part, methods aren't shared until they have already been exploited and scaled to a considerable size, so by lurking around, twiddling your thumbs, questioning if something works, and sizing up other peoples success, you have already missed your window to succeed.

You will learn when you start having multi-thousand dollar days that the last thing you want to do is spend 3 hours of your day posting your exact method to do this.

With that being said ... the right mentality to approach this forum with is to learn the general ways and strategies a blackhat marketer uses, and then put your on twist or apply to a unique medium no one has explored yet.

Now allow me to frame your mind a bit, focus on the good reasons below, and expunge all the bad from your mentality.

Good reasons for becoming a Blackhat marketer:

Self sufficiency: Not having to rely on anyone else for your income.

Flexibility: Ability to work hours that work for you, where you want to work from. Personally, I live somewhere new every two months on average, and freedom is the main reason I do what I do.

Scalable Wealth: Once you discover a working method, the internet provides instant access to a huge audience with the right tools. Unlike starting a local business that takes an average of 5 years to be profitable, you can be profitable sometimes within hours of launching a blackhat campaign.

Low Entry Cost: If you have a laptop, some proxies, a web server, a vps, and a general "CAN-DO" attitude you can get start your "business" for less than $100. This is unheard of offline.

Bad reasons for becoming a Blackhat marketer:

To rip off or scam someone out of their money: The #1 thing that you should avoid at all cost is becoming a scum bag. There are plenty of monetization methods once you generate the traffic that do not involve screwing someone over. Screwing people over will come back and bite you in the ass eventually. Use blackhat methods for generating traffic, don't cross the line and do something that could land you in jail. This is not blackhat ... this is fraud, and there is a big difference.

For a push button ATM: THERE IS NO PUSH BUTTON SOLUTION to automatically get you paid with no work. Yes, there are systems and methods you can put in place that will create recurring income for you month after month BUT this does not happen over night. The work schedule of a black hat marketer sometimes consist of several 14 hour a day weeks all for a few solid weeks of of "harvesting". Be prepared to work your ass off for it.

To pay your bills for "this" month: It's really hard to make money when you need money, you need to find something to pull you out of the ditch before you start trying to apply black hat methods. First of all ... most payments unless they are your products are payed on a net30 basis. In most situations you will be waiting 30 days to get paid for your efforts. Black hat marketing is not a lifeline to pull you out of a shitty situation. Get on your feet, it's much easier to make money when you are not worried about money.

If you only choose to take one thing from this thread, let it inspire you to take action. Action is the key to success in any world. You can imagine, contemplate, scheme, plan, read, visualize, and learn all day long, but none of that get's you the result. The result comes from the action, and I would much rather jump in with ANY action, than to plan for two months with no action at all. So Get to it! Veterans feel free to Post your tips below.

True, I'm at that point where I move around every 6 months doing this full time and you can tell by my post count that I don't spend much time here anymore.

Good ... Spending time here is fine, It just needs to be constructive. BHW is best used as a resource + sharing outlet, rather than a trolling net.

I completely agree with OP, BlackHat and Fraud are two different things!

BlackHat stuff is something where we can make some money in short time, I would not prer to say it's easy money. Cause it takes time and research to know the working methods and ofc need to invest some money.

My journey started with Yahoo chat room spam, Keyword stuffing, exploiting Trending sites, exploiting G News. Then it was extreme blackhat stuff like FB Apps and Now it's Instagram.

Always remember, don't put all your eggs in one basket! This is what i learned from my mistakes. :)

Great and informative post. I agree completely (lurker here, but successful online). Many thanks to zenoGlitch.

Brilliant, should be sticky for all the lil whiners lingering and waiting for someone to stake his business models and spoonfeed them.

Good read for most people here. We are always new to something on internet anyway.

I have been working online for the last 12 years. No other job... I work about 3-5 months max per year and sometimes take years off. I prefer to enjoy life sometimes.

Everything is possible. Sometimes, you need to stop working and THINK. You might get THAT idea that will bring you half a million within a few months.

I agree that you have to WORK, stay away from forums and chat since they are not focussing on your own stuff. It's good to get started up, but when YOUR plan is in your mind, start working on it! :)

Good read, for me I came from a white hat background, and then came to bhw.

I think everyone who "makes" it in the black hat arena has the following traits to some extent:

1. The ability to work and stay motivated alone.
2. Creativity to break the mold.
3. Ingenuity to over come problems.
4. Confidence to pick one idea and pursue it.
5. The ability to code - even with outsourcing and pre made scripts you need to be able to edit code to include your own twists.

#5 defiantly comes in handy, or at least be able to think like a coder, and know what can and cannot be done, and how to get there. Best backup option for not knowing how to code is to learn toolsets like zenno poster (no affiliation), uBot studio, or iMacros. Working with tools like that allow you to quickly throw together "mock up" apps to test if the method is worth pursuing full scale.

For me BLACKHAT = Little edge on marketing.

Not fraud or spam

Glad you clarified the difference tween black hat and fraud lol

great post
