My girlfriend disagrees! Studying Thai here at the minute so I can't move, but I've been planning a trip there for awhile now.

What do you guys like about Pattaya? It reminds me of Patong here, full of whores and Johns. Thais here cut you a look if you even mention the place.

Cheap whores and cheap booze - no need to make the truth any prettier. Just staying out from the crowded "expat" bars (yeah, I know it doesn't seem to make any sense) and I can stand it. Could care less about what Thais think, they see foreigners as nuisance anyway...

I've Thai friends so I do care. I'm in their country, not mine.
I don't drink and I don't fuck whores, so Pattaya wouldn't be for me. I enjoy reading the pattaya news though, always some good comedy in it - "5 drugged up lady boys give chase on moped"

I noticed alot of expats are now in Hua Hin, but I never see it mentioned on here.

I'm in Bangkok, got here last week after living in Singapore for a while.
It's a nice change here after the stuffiness of .sg , and the Thais are generally nice people.
