I want to ask the P.M. buyers if they also purchased the Proxy Booster Add On, and if so, if you find a considerable improvement in your proxy scraping activities? I want to gauge the replies before I take the plunge (10 bucks I think).

I purchased the Add-on at the same time as buying Proxy Multiply, so I don't know if anything is better.
What I do know is that I am constantly scraping around 200 working non-transparent, non-Chinese, non-Russian proxies, and they are working just fine.

I can't recommend this software enough.

I almost did not use proxies before so don't know the difference between it's types even and I was afraid I'll have difficulties with technical terms... Nothing like that! Thank you for your business, Tatsuya! To filter proxies by speed during testing, just lower the timeout in the Configuration -> HTTP Proxy Testing settings. A lower timeout value (less seconds) will yield faster proxies. If you are testing for SOCKS proxies, repeat the same step but select the SOCKS Proxy Testing menu instead.

Hi making, you can a) utilize the Proxy Booster add-on (click the green gear on the main window) or b) look for proxy URLs online. There are some proxy finding/scraping forums that share lists like that but generally it is a fairly 'coveted' item

Hi randolph, thank you for your business! Unfortunately your ISP does not allow programs like Proxy Multiply to test proxies. Your only option is to use Proxy Multiply solely as a proxy scraper but do not use it as a tester. You will need to use an online testing service like this one. I am very sorry for the inconvenience. Another Suggestion: Test a proxy for multiple criteria and save to disk.
I use proxies for comment posting (anon reqd), google (transparent or anon but google enabled), twitter etc. So, I have to run PM again and again for getting proxies for the required criteria. If a system is implemented where a proxy is test for multiple criteria and saved based on that criteria that will require running PM only once.

for e.g. look at this workflow checkproxy ->if transparent->check for google->if working add to google.txt else discard
if anonymous->check for google->if working add to google.txt
->check for twitter->if working add to twitter.txt

hope you understand the concept

Hi canal, yes you can use proxies to do that. Make sure you are only using anonymous proxies (click the Proxy Type button on the main window, then select Anonymous proxies).

Hey oliva, why are you checking proxies online? Proxy Multiply is a proxy tester as well. CONNECT proxies are those that will work over a HTTPS (secure) connection. Twitter requires secure HTTPS connectivity. In Proxy Multiply, just click the 'Proxy Type' button on the main window and then select 'Proxies for Twitter'.

Hi one, Proxy Multiply requires .NET 4.0 for the program to function but our installer will take care of that. You do not need to enable port forwarding for PM.

Hi ranga, thank you for your input! Great suggestion. It will need to be considered more before that is implemented though as many users have difficulty already with how the software functions; thus adding complexity as you suggested may just make more of a problem for most.

Hi imupnow, is your trial over? The proxy testing server queries your authorization info. Try restarting Proxy Multiply - if you see a window notifying you that your trial is over, then that is the problem

Hi, just to reiterate what was said in the support ticket: have you tried using these proxies in your browser and logging in that way, rather than using Tweet Adder? It could help diagnose whether the issue is related to the proxies or related to Tweet Adder.

Yes, I was trying working Elite proxies with Google Chrome. The results - Error: The requested URL could not be retrieved, Can't connect to proxy server etc. So I can't open any page at all. But PM shows HTTP high anonymous elite proxy Fast.
May be I am doing something wrong when scraping proxies?

One Issue: Whenever I test the proxies (anon or better, freshly scraped) passed by PM on scrapebox (google test turned off), only 50% proxies get passed and balance give errors including 403. Say I have got 600 odd proxies tested on PM and then retest on scrapebox around 50% get ok and balance are error. Also, I generally find proxies filtered by testing with scrapebox more robust in use.

I know public proxies are volatile by nature, but it also looks like there is some testing issue with PM where even non-anon or erroneous proxies get through. Just check
