Clickbank question

Firstly, i would like to apologies if this questions is already answered. I am a newbie in IM, so don't be too harsh on me

I would like to promote a product from clickbank as an affiliate.
What will happen if an user opens my affiliate link, decides to do some research on google before purchasing and he/she closes the tab and just re-types the url or navigates to the website through google. Will i get the sale? I am not sure if any cookies are stored.

if they clicked your link, cookies are stored unless he clears them

or click on another affiliate link

the general buying public would not do this you are too paranoid get back to work but yes cookies will get stored and you will get the sale

Is it a good idea to register a domain for example productnameblabla.com which will redirect to the clickbank aff link? I can spoof the referer that way, so clickbank doesn't know where the traffic is comming from. I will execute my own facebook strategy(i've been working on it for several months), but i have read that clickbank doesn't like traffic from social networks.

Keyword domains are opening the big door of organic traffic, so i recommend URL /product as affiliated link, you can also drive traffic to URL/product using your Facebook strategy

I'm curious about this too - is there any kind of penalty or risk from just masking your affiliate link in a URL? If there's no risk, how many of you actually do this rather than build a niche related site?

Of course you can. Are you talking about using that masked link in PPC advertising? That junk doesn't work with Facebook, FYI.
