Why am I so unlucky?

Yeah, you're right...I don't know why I didn't do this before -_-

I just looked through a few of the sites that were on the first page and the site (which is also a blog-type site I believe) is on the #1 spot with a long sales copy. I guess that's absolutely necessary. As for the rest though, about 3 of them are well reputed sites such as squidoo, wikihow, and askmen and two of them are YouTube videos. I think if I were to change my front page into a sales copy also and back-link it properly, I think I should be able to hopefully get onto the first page also...I don't know if it's just me though, but the #6, 9, and 10 spot isn't even related to the keyword.

Don't make it too "sales-y." You really have a great site there. I'm impressed. It just needs some polishing and optimizing, then some blasts. You need ads on that site. Can you ask your mother if she can do it for you? I am confident that you will get ad revenue once that site is optimized and blasted out. It's nicer than the ones in the top 10 for your niche.

I would prefer it if there's literally any other piece of advice you can have aside from building a list.

By any chance, do you happen to be illiterate? Please read any of the posts above you and let me know how many people said to build your list. Why do I need anybody to repeat this information to me so many times? Almost every single guru or noob on WF/BHW will tell you "No list, no money". Like really, literally ANY other advice would be more useful than just simply saying "build a list" at this point. My thread was just a simple "why do I have no conversions with this traffic" is all. I am not whining nor bitching, I am just curious as to why I had low conversions.

Do you see these posts? These are examples of actual information that can be USEFUL. Please, if you just want to rant on my thread without providing any information that can be used, can you please just leave? There's no point in flaming here. I just simply wanted information that hasn't been repeated a million times. If your answer to everything is to "build a list", then I congratulate you on your success with just simply hearing those three words.

Several people mentioned SEO and you did not give them any shit. You need the information repeated to you because it is the most important mistake you are making and you ignore it. Not only that, you choose to be an asshole to people who give you the advice you seek.

You said you are too young to hold an adsense account? It shows. You need to grow up and take the advice you are given. You have one of the fundamentals wrong and until you get a list improving your sales copy isn't going to help.

But, its true, there is a lot of money if you are willing to put in work and have that as your business model.

- You might be optimized great for the search engines, with a horrible unattractive design for visitors.

- You may offer just enough information that they get what they want, and don't buy.

- You may have junk traffic = no conversions

What I'm basically saying is, we won't be able to give you any "good" advice unless we see the site. That's like telling the doctor your head hurts over the phone...is it because you got shot in it? because you fell and hit it? or migraine pain?

Also you need to drop the "un-lucky" lingo, losers refer to it all the time. Your not a professional marketer, your still learning and making mistakes, that's OK. But please don't ever think luck has anything to do with it, Google has no algo for luck. Its just cold hard testing and maths.

I use to have a good size list several years and I found out it wasn't worth the headache. I guess the part I hated was managing, sending and dealing with bounced emails. Regardless if it was opted in or not, half the emails bounce and others cry spam, even though they signed up. With all the risk surrounding email marketing, it wasn't worth it.

I would rather focus on seo/smm and fine tune my niche offers, than deal with a list.

His Ad Copy and keywords are most likely a problem. I can't offer any solid advice other than pull apart your site, and then implement piece by piece powerful ad copy, and correct packing and presentation. Finally all that is required besides that is traffic to your awesome product. As for affiliation, it shouldn't matter that much unless the product has a pretty bad reputation, so check facing and feedback for the product.

This is internet business. There is no luck, there is just good and bad marketing. You seriously need to change your attitude about your business and start analyzing your traffic. You will find the answer there, not here in BHW (unless you want to show everyone your site, etc..)

So you heard ages ago that building a list is good and you still don't know how to go about it? What you're saying is that MaxTucker is illiterate because he won't hand-feed you an exact blueprint for list building/mailing?

You didn't maybe think to browse the email marketing section here and read the wealth of information that's available?

You seem to want everything handed to you on a plate and if you don't get that then you throw a hissy fit.

if you want to sell you need to build quality websites, provide useful content, write honest reviews about products and make people join your niche email opt-in.

if you want to make a quick $ go for cpa offers or adsense.

His site is very good and has potential. He just needs to optimize it, find a way to get ads on there, and do some blasts. The niche is pretty good too.

Don't hate on the guy. I agree with what you said. Email list is a very good idea. But for somebody who's just learning how everything works in IM it is not of crucial to have one.
