Ah no the software uses that list as the master list so always keep it there and don't replace it. You can see any changes that occur under the changes tab.

You can install on up to two of your machines e.g. your VPS and office PC. It is very simple to install but if you have any questions do let me know.

Still having problem understanding how to add new links WITHOUT rechecking them all.

Sorry cucurucu I thought you sent an email to us? If not the below reply will help.

You can add links to Backlink Monitor's list without doing any check at all, then run the update once a week or how ever often you wish. The reason we recheck all the links at each crawl is because the web is constantly changing. For Backlink Monitor to generate an accurate picture of what your links currently look like, it needs to look at all the pages again. Some of your links may have changed or been removed since the last crawl...if BLM assumed they were still there, you might be building new tiers to non-existant links.

A couple of things that might help you out:

1) You can increase the number of Crawler Threads in Advanced Project Settings (by default it's set to 5). This will make it check more pages at once.
2) BLM caches your previous PageRank and Indexed pages, so it doesn't need to recheck these values (which can save time)
3) If you disable the PR and Indexed checks it will go a lot faster. You can manually select backlinks (using the Selection Tool, or just Ctrl-Click with the mouse), then right click and manually force those pages to update PR and/or indexed. This can be a lot faster if you don't care about your higher tiers.

If you want to only verify the new links you would have to create a new project for them. But if you add them to the bottom of the current projects URL list and the next time you run the check you will get an up to date view of all your links. Also you can see which links are new by going to the changes tab and any new links will be indicated with "New" text. I hope that answers your question cucurucu.

When trying to update the software from my current installation (3.4 or whatever it is) it says that I'm already up-to-date.
