I'm a total noob so I decided I'd try those webcam programs. I signed up with internetmodeling and bought a url and did masked forwarding to bring to my page. I tried advertising on craigslist and backpage and I got nothing. Not one single sign up. I decided to place a five line ad in the village voice and the results were the same. That's .two fails but I'm not going to quit. I'm just getting started. My question is now what? I saw a thread that was reviewing adware programs that advertise your banners but I can't find it .

Now of course I want to move beyond this stuff but my knowledge of code is nonexistent

You can find lots of ways to make money in the "making money" section of the forum. Find one that you feel you can go for, and then apply yourself 110% to it!

Also, if you have failed, try and analyse why? Were you targetting your traffic properly? Were your ads appealing? Why should people click on your links, and how can you create 'value' for them? It's marketing, you have to get in the customer's head. good luck

Thanks! Will do..just a lot of the things here go over my head and I find it overwhelming but I want to learn.

No matter what anyone says, there is no such thing as free money. If you want to make money from online marketing, you will have to invest your time. But its an investment, although at the beginning you will sometimes be frustrated (not only at the beginning), it will pay off as long as you have a business mind attitude.

And it will take time for you to get familiar with what everyone is talking about here, but just read it, and do research on google, and eventually you will get familiar with it and be able to take, adapt and share your methods of making money :) $$

I totally agree with the above post. I'm a beginner myself, just started a week ago actually. I have my own blog set up and in the process of building my own list. I do get frustrated because I feel like I am not going where I want to go. But this is only the beginning and I am not going to give up this easily. I lurk around the forums quite a bit hoping to learn from the more experienced. I tell myself to be persistent and don't give up! Hopefully I'll start to see some progress very soon.

Did you change your ad? You got feedback not failure.
Don't be so quick to move on to the next thing.

I agree. That's exactly what I will do. I'm a young Jedi in training.

So many opportunities my friend.. Do something that you will have fun doing. Like someone else said there is no such thing as free money, so be prepared to work your ass off.
