I listed some items on eBay a few months ago with a Store subscription. Items were home-made stuff. They removed the listings without any prior notification, and asked me to provide manufacturer invoice or bills or something that proves my ownership of those items.

When I called the customer service centre to explain I cannot provide those bills, but the guy said "The issue is with your PayPal account. Please resolve that first."

FYI: My PayPal was suspended in 2007 or 2008. A friend of mine abused my account. The balance went -$700. I didn't pay them that, as I didn't use that money.

They sent many e-mails saying
Your account is suspended. This means all of your current listings have been removed and you can no longer buy or list new items on eBay. To avoid further collection activity, you must pay the amount you owe immediately

Since eBay removed my listing without even prior notification, I don't want to pay the store subscription fee and some other fees. It's around ₹1k+. What happens if I don't pay the fees? It's not a stealth account.

The account is your and you are responsible for the negative balance and go after your friend later. If you don't pay it will go to collection agency.

How to get your fee that much? You must be sold many items already. How do you accept payment if your paypal account was suspended in 2007-2008???????????
Again, if you don't pay their fee they will send it to collection agency and they will harassing you everyday.

It will go to a collections agency who will send you a few nasty letters. I've had this happen a couple times with my stealth accounts in false names. Anyway, nothing every really comes of it, aside from the letters. They basically sell the debt to the collection agency.

Don't pay it. In a couple years when they have bounced the debt around between collection agencies, offer them 20% of what you initially owed without admitting the debt, if they say no, state that you are not going to pay it and will see them in court to dispute the debt for an internet based transaction. They will take the 20%...

Funny, no one said "pay your debts".

More people on the "do not do business with" list.

If you conduct business in the same way eBay does, I would be more than happy to never do business with you.

Say HELLLLLOOOOO to debt collectors :)

Honestly I got a debt collector letter from eBay for 6p that I had forgotten about - it costs them 40p just to send the letter /facepalm

A few years back, i had a seller account with them and I din't pay my fees too! They called me up a few times and I said i had no way to pay them ( no bank account etc:P)... They stopped calling me after that... But then, my debt was only a couple of dollars, not 1K+ as you mentioned... I don't think they will leave you that easily...

Evade tax is mision imposiblle you will need to pay them anyway one day.

if such a thing happens to a non us seller?
can ebay do somathing???

You will get a negative credit score or so I was told, if you dont pay your ebay fee.

My personal experience was - my ebay account had -60$ and paypal had -200$ . Ebay never contacted me about it. It stayed like that for 8 months or so. Eventually, I paid the debt though.

Well their not coming to break your legs. However they can and will report this to credit agencies. So
like any other unpaid bill it can affect your credit.
