So yesterday I decided to take a stroll through town and market my web-design services to local businesses. I had no business cards with me, I was on foot, and pretty stoned on top of that and I still managed to have my best day in offline promotion! I lined up 4 guaranteed clients whom all need minimum $1,000 websites, and 6 additional clients that will need a website in the future and will most likely come to me.
I'm using WordPress for the higher end projects, and using Wix for lower end projects, got any problems with that go lick a donkey these programs make me A LOT of money.
How I approached these business owners was as followed : "Aloha my name is Jasper, I'm a local web-designer here in Kailua-Kona and I'm offering affordable support with your online appearance, from web-development, to social networking"
In addition to the web-development gigs I lined up I also got some work with computer support, and teaching a few people how to use their smart phones at $40 an hour.
I'd say that was a pretty successful day in offline marketing. Peace.
