Got a warning from another website and don't know what to do

So last week I got a warning letter from a website which sells a certain niche video. My website is part of a forum that links to free downloads of these niche videos and some of which are from the company that sent me the warning. They warned that if I don't take down my entire website soon, they will pursue the legal option that is available to them. My question is that how far do I have to abide by?

I really don't want to take down the website and the forum since it has grown steadily yet I'm not sure how serious the company is about pursuing legal action and what grounds they have for it. They linked me an example of what I was violating and linked to a forum post where someone posted a link for a download to one of their videos which is clearly copyrighted yet my website is just the medium. I realize it's probably warez linking yet what could they do if I deleted all of their product off of the forum?

If they told you that someone posted a link of their own video then you should just remove that link. You can also credit them for the video that will be fine with them.

they have no grounds to request a full website takedown... but if you refuse to take down the link they might be able to get a cort order to take down your site

just remove those links. our site is a forum and you are not the one posting, message them back that you have removed the copyright infringing contents and thanks for reporting us about the infringement .

don't mail them back and remove the relevant links. that way they have nothing on you

because if you do mail back , you're basicly admitting that you had some copyrighted links on your website

I passworded the forum for only a few people. I'm wondering if that would ever hold cause they technically could not get to those links then.
