Proxies and Tumb*lr Can someone with experience please respond?

I'm hoping someone who is experienced with proxies (and Tumb*lr for that matter preferably...) can answer this question.

So I need to build a few hundred blogs.
I'm concerned whether I should use proxies or not. It would seem smarter to do so, however i've read countless times on various threads and forums that proxies alone don't actually provide anonymity.

I actually received an email from Tumb*lr staff recently stating that it was ok to set-up multiple blog accounts from the same I.P.

However, in the past I have personally experienced the rath of the Tumb*lr witch hunts where they ended up deleting EVERY account I had on the same I.P.


So in short, how do I achieve anonymity to stay 'safe' and under the radar in the event of another witch hunt?

Best bet is to use proxies to spread out the number of blogs per IP. Changeing your IP is only one step though, make sure you clear your cookies in between creating each and every account as well to ensure no footprint is left - this is what really matters, more-so than the IP you're using.

A boring way but effective is to use ccleaner, restart router to get new IP, repeat. Tedious but works and it's 100% free.

So really it sounds like the "foot print" is what counts most.
I'm puzzled the by the fact that one's Mac address would be the same each time, so why wouldn't they detect that?

Mac addresses are only shown for the last router in the network transaction, e.g. your ISP's/their datacenters.

I have the same problem with Mac address and havent gotten around it.

They can't know you mac address man!
