How do you guys want problems with your products/services to be handled?

I am the type of guy that likes to do things in private. If I have a probelm with you, I would rather try to work it out then to run to the shit list and call you a scammer. I also hate going to a sales thread and bitch because I don't want to interfere with anyone's revenue streams. That being said, we all know that issues aren't always solved that way so going public is the next step.

It would be great if people could politely complain about an issue they are having without being attacked or have the seller feel like they are being attacked. Maybe this exists here already but I don't know about it.

In the same spirit, I think it would be great if all BST threads had a couple things highlighted (that cannot be edited) at the top of each thread and it would be up to the seller to highlight them:

Seller's Rep: (this one's tough but you know what I'm getting at...itrader)
Thread Approved By:
Support Included With Product:
Time Sensitive or Limited Copies:

That way everyone knows the deal going into it.

Anyway, just a couple of my own thoughts and suggestions. Good luck to everyone who is BST'ing :)

I agree...there's a thread that's rambling on here over an $8 deal and yet the Mods don't seem to want to close it. It makes us all look like idiots and is not the way to go about it.

Agree with the itrader ratings where you can build your reputation but perhaps the forum should provide a dispute resolution service for transactions that take place through BST.

Both parties would have to PAY for this service and agree to the Moderators decision or else get their account banned...

We aren't going to act as intermediaries between to parties; we state this in our rules. You buy at your own risk here. We put a good amount of effort into reviewing items, but we aren't going to act as a customer service / refund desk.

This forum wasn't setup as a place to sell/trade shit. It's a place to swap ideas. The BST is just a bonus. If it gets out of hand, we'd just as soon shut it down than spend hours and hours mediating and helping out a bunch of fuck tards that can't reach a deal over a $20 script.

And as for listing who approved the thread, that would be kind of pointless? Every item that passes through the BST (now the For Sale section) is reviewed/approved by the staff as a group, not just one single mod/admin.

And if you notice a thread getting out of hand, hit the report button or send one of us a PM. That's the fastest way to get our attention. We can't read EVERY post on EVERY thread, you know.

Agreed if it is in the for sale section. There seems to be a lot of pre-sale probing that goes on so I personally didn't know how closely those are monitored. But in no way do I think the staff should be given the burden of working out the small problems.

I guess the answer is to duke it out in the threads themselves and the seller will have to deal with the flaming or the complaints.

We also take pre-selling very seriously and anyone caught selling via PM before the thread goes live or after they're told "no" are typically banned.

I'd also like to add that services are now moderated and will soon cost $5-10 to list. We're going to be restructuring the way the services are setup in each subforum as well.
