Google puts an end to blog networks!!

The basics of every blog network depends on High PR Expired Domains. Blog Networks are the biggest challenges before Google and therefore they manually started deindexing them.


But it seems Google has caught the nerves and started devaluing links to all the expired domains as soon as they get expire.
Especially this is happening with expired .jp domains.


Just take any expired domain name and perform a site and link query in google, you will not able to find results.


Has anyone else experienced this also.

Of course they drop it. Google gets a list of all the dropped domain's and google bot drops all content/pr and anything else associated with the name. If someone buys the domain name, they start fresh. Very easy for google to know when the domain is dropped.

You should alway build backlinks to your network, PR will stay there as time passes, simple as that.

Funny how fake PR vanished once domain hits TDNAM or similar.

Shocking news!

Domain flipping is alive and well. However google visits indexed sites more often these days. A domain that has been cleared of content for 14+ days can often also have it's PR reset or lowered.
Likewise, a domin URL derives some of it's juice from inbound links to inner pages (from 2011 this part of the algo was upped)

You delete all of the inner pages and put your own up with your own canonical structure - you can wave bye bye to all that inbound PR juice, and "hello" to google finding 404 errors for links pointing to your domain from all over the place. Sure you can do a mass redirect, but the anchor text of the links is likely lostm and context and relavence lost with it. Your home page or a random catch all 404 page now trying to pass on PR for all sorts of words and phrases it's not optimized for.

Site flipping is great for BRANDS and direct searches. There is still real value in it. But for pure SERPS - it has no where near the value it used to have becasue google take anchor text, internal linking and user experience (and mass redirects is something it's not keen on) more seriously these days.

However, if you buy a site with the content INTACT...and just add to it, with no delay, no loss of canonical structure therefore no mass 404 and irrelavent anchor text issues, then flipping is still a bloody great way to make cash or buy prebuilt authority.

But not checking a false PR when you see one....

Last year, Google officially announced that parked domain names will be deindexed. I assume you are talking about Godaddy Expired Domains since this is where most people get their high PRs. Let me put it for you this way, once a domain name expires it's Nameservers automatically shift to Godaddy's and a parking page appears.

Now when Google crawls the website and finds a parking page, it gets deindexed. PR becomes N/A sometimes too.
However, after you acquire the expired domain name and upload some content (along with robots.txt) -- Your website gets re-indexed on Google and you gain back the PR and everything else the domain had.

It's amazing how people don't check the PR of the domains before they buy them.
