I've noted a lot of members being abusive and offensive in the threads. Especially to noobs who are just getting the hang of it. It's disappointing when JrVip's and even Moderators get into the act.
Too many people are quick to jump to conclusions. Others don't bother to read the thread and simply think they know what's going on. Still others say things just to have something to post and have nothing constructive to add -- they're just bored. The result is a lot of threads which are filled with words better not said.
If a noob messes up then there's no reason to post the world and clutter the threads up with abuse. Simply PM the noob or OP and let them know the proper way. I've done this for other noobs who didn't know how to place a link inside the code.
When I first came on here I didn't know how either so I didn't post any links. Most noobs appreciate you taking the time to tell them how something is done. They only get defensive when there's name calling, abuse and members simply act like idiots.
For the most part, this is a very nice community and most people have a sincere interest in helping others.
EDIT: I just noticed the REPORT button. Exactly when should this be used?
