How to Change Your IP Address on Virgin

I just found a way to change your IP address on Virgin UK which you're not supposed to be able to do under normal circumstances, this isn't my way but have seen this about before but couldn't get it to work until I followed the steps correctly.
Here's the way to do this with the link to the necessary software

Download tool called Smac - (google it software)
Unplug modem (cable modem) from power
spoof PC NIC Mac address with Smac (change the mac of your pc ethernet card with smac, only change the last 2 columns of digits i.e 00.00 to 00.01) and then click to verify and change permantly
plug power back into modem (make sure ethernet is plugged into modem and pc aswell)

Now just wait for the modem to boot up fully and you will be assigned a new IP address to the one you had before!!


Only thing with this way is you will still have the same HOSTNAME (google it) as you had before,

The only way to change your HOSTNAME is by changing the modem MAC address which is only possible with a hacked modem but otherwise this method works flawlessly
With this method you'll be able to log into your sites and boost your adxxnse earnings or do your own referal links to get more referals etc.

Yes you will be able to boost adsense etc but you'll still have your HOSTNAME, by the way, you could habve at least put my name to this or put in that this isn't your original work because you copied this directly from a thread I put this on another site! lol! and if you say that you didn't then i'm quite willing to post the link of the thread it came from! Not that I have anything against it but you could say that it's not your original idea as it wasn't my original idea also but I did say that in my original thread where this came from! This method is also good for referals etc as well!

I'd not do this on adsense more than a few times
They will catch your ass as it is coming from the same provider.
And most likely you make a bunch of other errors at the same time.

Referal's are definatly the better idea for changing up IIP's as everyone knows how harsh G can be! I personally only do this on adsense on rare occasions, I certainly wouldn't sit at home doing it all day long as the hostname and geographical area is still the same and it will be clocked onto but the odd every now and then has proved fine for me but I mainly use it for referals 'cos you can have loads of friends in your area that you think would benefit from whatever the offer is, the only way there's proof is from the logs, hostname etc. but still good for a few a day though! The best way i've been told so far is to get yourself a VPN and set up your own private proxy, but I haven't tried that myself as of yet! Or of course you could use your Cloakfish service to facilitate this maybe?

cant get this to work i change my mac addy then plug it back in but doesent change my ip
