hey ozz, thats where im trying, but it seems whatever format i put the file in, it always results in 0 urls added?

also can anyone check if the project -> data -> url edit -> add url and anchor text + secondary anchor is working for u? when i click on it, nothing is happening or coming up? the other options are working fine. (SER v4.37)

When you guys are getting the crashes, is there any kind of pop up?
I know in the past, in some error instances, you get a pop up with an error warning and options like send report, continue application etc
If you send a report, it also does a screen shot and has the ability to add an email address and personal message.

On windows XP, GSA version 4.36 works (with the normal bugs ofc), Version 4.37 works for +/- 3 mins, then hangs and sticks at 70% cpu usage, to never do anything again.

nvm 4.36 does the same.

Back to testing YET another OS.

Did you check your RAM? What about Firewall, Virus Scanner etc.? Any possibility this could cause your issues?

Did you format your URLs with the right syntax HXXP:// and HXXPS:// (replace X)?

yep, i got about 50 other projects running still, the problem is that SER is not opening the window to input a url + primary anchors + secondary anchors, does ur SER open the window for u?

im setting up some new projects and want to use the new % split anchors option with multiple urls and primary/secondary anchors for each url.

i noticed sven mentioned a format like domain.com#anchor1#secondary anchor but that doesnt work, neither does domain.com#{anchor|..}#{anchor|...}, he said he added the option and looks like he has in the project settings window, but its not working (at least for me), if u (or anyone else) know the syntax for using secondary anchors with multiple urls, can u post it (for me and others) as i cant find details about it anywhere here, the other forum or in the manuals :-/

I'm currently running 100 threads on 10 private proxies on a 4 core XEON 3.4 ghz , 4gb RAM VPS. What would be the recommended maximum threads (and associated timeout) that my VPS could handle if I upgraded to 60 private proxies? I am running captcha sniper and not any OCR service (not sure if this is relevant). Thanks

Well, upgrading from 10 to 60 private proxies will allow you to adjust the search time between search engine queries. That should help improve speed quite a bit. That would probably increase speed more then just upping the thread count. You probably need to play around with it. I'd start at 20 and then lower it down from there. My HTML timeout is around 160. There is no exact number for this - some people will have it around 120 and some 180+ so I'd keep it at least at 120 as a minimum.

You can try upping the threads to 150-200 if you want, but adjusting the wait time between search engine queries would be something else to adjust that could speed things up quite a bit.

@BlackSend Are you running CS? If so - it may be eating up your RAM slowly. Check Task Manager for werfault entries - if you have a lot of them - that could be the problem. It's been happening to my vps from time to time and it had nothing to do with the version I ran.

Would it be more effective to scrape for target sites with another program? If I simply shut off most of the filters, I do get results but these are all crap spam palaces.

PR filter and OBL filters set at? Also, how big is your bad words list? (if you're using one at all)

I check both options "always use keywords for target sites" and "at least x on my keywords must be present" x=2.

I mean 24/7 is an immense amount of spam (I still think google did right with penguin and EMD update and so on, even though my sites also get penalized). I cant imagine how much junk and spam is getting added to the web each second. And on the other hand, how can you do this 24/7 with only 1 spyntax article? Do you build all this spam to tier 2?

I for me have build around 200 links in the last 1-2 weeks. And they are all social bookmarks wich the half of them link to tier 1 and the other half links on 4 different money pages. I mostly stop GSA after a few verified links because of google.

Not a few hundred. I usually use between 50-120 or so. I will up my keywords and give that a go.

There are some users that like to blast sites and get thousands of backlinks and some that try for strictly quality PR2 +, etc. You can use it however you want and whatever suits your needs.

I'm not sure what you mean by only doing it with one spyntax article. You can use multiple articles.
