OP, can you explain a bit the differences between this tool and your other full version? Pretty sure I'll get this to test and if I like it I'll get the full version as well.

OP, can you explain a bit the differences between this tool and your other full version? Pretty sure I'll get this to test and if I like it I'll get the full version as well.

For sure, I've just added a chart comparing the features. As you can see, a lot of the advanced features are part of the original version. However this Lite version will certainly give you everything you need to start learning the ropes of keyword research and finding profitable EMDs (exact match domains).

Seems like another great product. The only really important thing thats not available with the Lite version in SEO competition analysis.

Meaning... If we get a set of 800 keywords from our 1st search, can we pick one keyword from those and get a new set of 800 "sub-keywords" all in the same window, and then search all the EMD available for the total 1,600 keywords??

In the free trial, I keep getting an error when I actually try to scrape using my Adwords account. It logs in and says valid, but once I click the button to start scraping it just says Failed to Connect Adwords or something to that effect.

Yes, it can.

Register a new Adwords account. When it asks for what country, choose USA.

A first look review:
There is an about 24h "security waiting time" from 2co (payment provider) so I just received the tool. That's great with me, I'm rather safe then sorry. So don't expect instant delivery.

Didn't do a big test, just setting up, testing basic functions and a quick crosscheck with a KW I had "hand picked".

Installation/Licensing: 7/10
Only negative point is: You download 1.0.0.0 from the page, you have to license it, then comes an autoupdate to 1.0.1.0 and you have to re-enter license information's.
Easy of setup/use:10/10
Adwords (my non US account worked perfect) & Proxy setup is done in seconds everything else is self explaining.
Functionality: 9/10
The tool does everything as described and provided results that matched my "hand picked" research. Only negative point: the EMD search seams not to work for me. Might be a user mistake.
Overall: 8/10 considering the price of just 17$ it's a 10/10
This is not a 100$+ tool, it doesn't give you every graph and stat possible. If you need that you're wrong here.
My first impression: You get a solid KW research tool that will save you a lot of time from "hand picking" or guessing in the dark at a very good price.

So far I'm happy with my purchase.

macdonjo3, could you please elaborate on the actual calculation of the competition score? Does the program look up PR, links etc of the first 10 or 3 results or is this measure just related to the number of search results?

The competition score calculates how much the top sites are optimized for that keyword. If you want to know more, like PR and links, that can be found in the full version of Keyword Scout.
