Is the option "Avoid posting on same url twice" for just 1 project? or for all? I mean, if I activate this, does it also skip already submitted sites from other projects?

Because when I start a new project, I often get a message "already parsed", even though I start the project brand new.

EDIT: Also a new update available, maybe this solves your problems?

4.35 - fix: A rather big bug on verification fixed. If you saw a slow down of verified links since
two versions, thats was the cause. Sorry, but it was really hard to find as
it only appeared on some systems
- new: way less memory usage
- new: indexu engine (directory) is now posting a link on profiles
- new: URLs can have spin syntax as well and will not get rejected on checking
You can now even use e.g. %spinfile-url-list.txt% in the URL field.
- new: proxy use for setting can be switched to "Other (PR)" (which would make
it only use for PR checking)
- new: GUI changed to only display hints when moving mouse on the Help label

Verification is slighly better now but do you also feel that its damn slow compared to what it should be? I mean scrapebox link checker is pretty fast

Seem slower that before and my dedicated server can't get past 250 connections. Cpu is at 3% bandwidth is at 0,5% lool

I'm pretty sure there is more going on than just a "slow verification", GSA has pretty much always had this issue of speed... it's sometimes nice for smaller projects, but due to the speed it's really NO match compared to the real big boy (you know what i mean).

does the GSA automaticly activate these submissions from directories? Because I have to click the button to activate the submissions. And after that I also loose my link to the submission because it is only an activation link and looks like this: xxx.sportsuchmaschine.de/sports/107630990519286_1349097251.html

If I open it after the activation, I get an error message. Until now GSA has not activated these type of links. Maybe it is possible to implement that feature?

Hey there. I bought VPS to put my GSA on, because I had problems with my dedicated server for spam complains. Is there a way to transfer all my campaigns to my new installation easily?

Select all your projects > right click > modify project > backup. Then restore them on your new VPS.

This last updated just now, still did not fix the issue, GSA is still very often just sitting there at 0 - 1% cpu usage, no open connections, and simply being idle.

It seems slightly better, but not completely fixed.

If you haven't posted in the GSA forum, you should go ahead and do that. Not everyone is experiencing the same thing so he'll probably need to team viewer with you or get some logs, etc.

Purchased yesterday at 5pm est on WF and have received nothing yet so I went to the "sharit" site and it says "payment not received" so I made payment again and still says "payment not received" So what is the deal did I pay twice? And am I getting the software? Just want to know if it is in the process
ps..I have an invoice and it says I would receive in 12-24 hours which is fine but it also says that payment was not received so I am completely confused

Ran the latest version for an hour, all looked good until the pr-? of doom returned

Sorry scratch that. I tried a second time and it worked. The first time for some reason it backed up just the first 6 campaigns the file was only 7MB, the second time it made a 50MB file and it has all.

Does GSA use Google for scraping new targets? Because I have private proxies, and use them for Scrapebox. I use that many threads with Scrapebox just to barely avoid banning by Google due to too many requests.

So I cannot use the same Scrapebox proxies for GSA, right? I need dedicated private proxies for GSA, and only use them for GSA?

And how many threads should I use in GSA, depending on the number of my private proxies?

The dreaded PR? of doom is no fun. I haven't got that in a while. I remember there was a few updates ago where it happened frequently but it seems to have gone away on my end. I have 100 share proxies set to everywhere and use proxies for PR checking with custom time between queries set to 20 seconds. Also "automatically disable bad proxies on use" is disabled.

I'm not sure how different your proxy setup is from mine but this is working great for me.

Well the beauty of this software is that it has over 800 search engines to scrape from. So say you pick 50 search engines, it won't be hitting Google constantly because it will be rotating through the different search engines. This helps a lot with preventing your proxies from getting temp banned too quickly.

I'm not sure how many proxies you're working with but you should give it a try and see how they work. Most likely you'll be alright.

I'm not sure how many threads. Start with 20-30-40-50 threads and increase from there if you want.

Tried running gsa a couple of times. My old trusty version 4.28 no longer works

After the initial update to the latest release, on 40 threads it was zooming through submissions until the dreaded pr-? of doom struck
Tried several times times now and after a couple of hours running it returns. In the past you knew it would be about the 80 submissions mark.
Now, it just happens at no guestimated time

Its as though for some reason its not rotating the proxies being being used.
It will get stuck using one proxy, thats a poke in the dark guess at whats happening

Stop and restart gsa and it flies again until the pr-? of doom kicks in again

Its also bottle necking still
Run it at 40 threads and it flies, 50 threads and the it dont increase in network usage. 100 threads and your still seeing no increase in network usage. In the past you would increase your threads until you noticed web pages taking longer to load etc, bump the threads over night when no one else was using the net at home

I see you posted this on both forums (not sure why) so I'll let Sven talk to you about your issue on the other forum. I'm not experiencing the PR? of doom on my end and I've been running it 24/7. It's obviously something with proxies or settings but I'm not sure why you're experiencing it more then other people. It's normal to get it every once in a while but it shouldn't stay constant. We'll see what Sven says in the other thread.

Two quick questions:
1. Would you recommend blasting a 6 years old domain (money site ) or better use it for tyre 1,2 ... ?
2. Would 10 p. proxies would be enough ?

I've been away for a month and when running GSA I get a lot of "verification failed/timeout" - what does it mean? My HTML timeout is set to 180 and custom wait to 10 sec with 50 threads
