Hit by the EMD update? Fill this in and help everyone understand

You don't ask the loose in ranking ?

I enter my infos but didn't loose any ranking .
You should not only focus on emd loosing position , it's a useless survey if you only do that

better try to understand witch one loose ranking and witch one don't imo

Participated, check option 4 and 5. option 5 shouldn't be mandatory field!

Filled it. Hope we can get more insights on this subject soon. I lost all my sites by now and all of them are EMD's and EMD's with additional words such as "hq" etc.

i am hurt badly. done the survey. any insight will be great help.

Got hit pretty bad too. Just finished the survey. How many surveys are you planning on collecting before publishing the results?

If I had that option then it would make the whole survey invalid. As for calling it useless, please tell us how you are contributing? are you gathering data?

I think the biggest cause is wordpress caz in my niche where I got hit on my website. All other sites are not made on wordpress and they are still standing firm. Only those with wordpress are gone and it just not happened to my niche, all my friends have been hit.

I've had sites on multiple platforms including Wordpress hit, including PHPbb and plain html sites.

Some results from the survey. Not sure what to make of them though

The question that stands out is, was your content helpful to other people. Obviously G didnt think so thats why they were hit. Not hard to figure this out.

Hmm, strange Google algo change my long tail EMD been hit hard from #4 to nowhere...

Does anybody have any insight yet about what the factors were for being pounded on?

I think the results of this show what many already know...There is simply no true rhyme or reason for google's actions. For every example of "x" there's somebody else that has no "x" but rather "y". And many times they are the complete opposite.

I honestly do hope someone figures out what the main factors are, but I severely doubt it. I have emd domains with exact same link types, exact same number of pages, etc. Some are in no man's land, some are just fine or even gained positions. Other than the name of the domain and the actual words on the pages, I literally can not tell a difference between them. I'm not even going to attempt to try either. Time to move on and start putting 80% of my effort into something that does NOT rely on any traffic from google...
