Since you seem to know, what is the type of backlinks that works today?

I doubt that google completly shuts down one type of links, but no link is the dominant one, otherwise everyone would create just that link only

Great sharing these links are mix most of them are no-follow and some will be do-follow.

This is a parlor trick. You can do it with any search term that is unique enough.

I did this for a girl I play games with online:

We play Left4dead2, and she loves the Katana as a melee weapon.

For her birthday, I asked a friend to ask this question on Yahoo answers "In left 4 dead 2, who gets the first Katana?"

I answered the question with "LellitonStars ALWAYS gets the first Katana, in any game, but especially in Left 4 Dead 2." and a link to a page on my computer repair site.

On my computer site, I put up a page that said "This is a parlor trick for a friend.' Lellitonstars Always gets the first Katana. Happy Birthday Lelli."

I left the page online for a month. The search term went to #1 for the yahoo answers page, then I deleted the "source" page.

Even today, if you ask Google "who gets the first Katana in Left 4 dead 2" you will see that Yahoo answer page as position 2. Never built a website or a back link, and even deleted the "source" page, but that answer is still there. Anytime anyone wants to know why we always give Lelli the first Katana, we tell them its a rule of the game, and they can Google it.

She was blown away (still is), and we still chuckle about it. (and by the way, I got major props for being an Internet king too)

Try it. Use your girlfriend/wifes name, and do something like "who is the best kisser in Texas" "who has the best butt in asia?" or whatever. Just search for the term first and make sure no one has done it before you.

It is important that the asker and answerer are from completely unrelated accounts, or the answer will never show up. The source page really helps.

Not true. I ranked a site #1 for my ex-girlfriend's name. The site has no content, other than her name (which is not an uncommon name) in the Title and Description tags, using profile links. The domain name only contains her first name, not her last name, as well.

I am not suggesting that this would work for highly competitive search terms, but it certainly worked (and the site continues to rank #1 8 months later) for this. So, I would say it does work to some degree.
