[Suggestion] Maximum Signature Banner Size

Hi,
I would like to suggest a new addition to BHW rules about signatures.

We see some members have excessively large banners in their signature. I too had one but it was removed by a mod who told me to use a 'reasonably' sized banner which I did But there are still a few with big ass banners lol. I won't call them out but if some mod/admin wants to take a look, sure.

The rule about signature banner is not very definitive i.e.

1 SMALL banner in your signature.

And this sticky thread also states it but its still not clear enough:

Do not use a font size larger than 3, large images, sound clips, or anything annoying.

I suggest the max. size be 728 x 90 which is the standard dimensions we see for banners.

Just my 2 cents.

PS: I do report when I see someone with a big ass signature but having a definite rules about that would help more than anything.

I also agree with BK on this. I personally have always used 728x90 all the time. It would be really great is people can follow a standard for banners as its getting really messy seeing banners of various sizes.

Also if you cannot put a constructive suggestion in this thread, then please dont post. I think that this thread is pretty serious matter.

there is an exact size limit defined, it's just not listed in a very good location

when you go to edit your signature, under the signature box there's an option to upload an image from your computer.

Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 500 by 100 pixels or 19.5 KB (whichever is smaller).

most people just end up linking an offsite image and likely never even scroll down far enough to see this rule.

the maximum height limit that we're currently enforcing is 100 pixels.

i do agree that this should be stated explicitly in the main rules where it's more visible to everyone, so there's no confusion over it.
