Just got the dreaded email - Paypals limited for reason:

# 17 Jan. 2009: Our system found unusual activity associated with your PayPal and eBay accounts that present a potential high risk

Which is utter poppycock cos I've been sending the goods out.

Can anyone tell me, if they've been restricted and come out the other end?

What if I don't want to tell them my supplier info? what do I do?

Thanks alot

Are you sure it's not one of those phishing emails? Tried logging in to your PP acct. without clicking on a link in the email?

Yup done it and its there for sure man.

I cant prove tracking or anything cos i was doing MM, sent direct from manufacturer.

It's because your paypal account is getting a lot of money transfers all at once. It should clear up. Just provide them with whatever proof they need.

thats it right there you could always use another source besides your real source to and make a fake reciept

like cypionate mentioned it is most probably because lots of money was transferred to your account

Yes, I've been restricted by PayPal and come out the other end. It didn't happen till I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. That's easy enough to do on the web, and it gets their attention, as they don't want a lot of unresolved BBB complaints. You'll find a real human will call you up to try and fix the problem within a couple of days. If you have been doing something genuinely illegal, or something that puts egay at legal risk (like selling replicas of brand name goods) then you may be permanently f*cked, though.

Nope done not of that, I wish to thank you for all your advice, and taking your time to answer,

I'm gunna attempt to sort.

Same thing happened to me. I went from a moderate powerseller on ebay and decided to ramp it up. I was doing about four times the sales from what I normally did. After three or so months, I received the same e-mail. Of course, my mistake was since I had been selling for so long I got comfortable about leaving large sums in my account. (Don't ever do that) But I provided them the information they requested and all was fine then. To this day, I NEVER leave much money in my Paypal account.

Why don't you take the money out of your account every $500-$700?
It's free to withdraw the money to your bank account, and that way you wouldn't be worried about geting limited

I don't know the answer for you. What I mean is if you had to wait six months for money in one of your paypal accounts, how much is 'alot' to you? Personally, I didn't like waiting on 7500 in one of my paypal accounts for six months. It rather annoyed me.

i think it sucks how paypal and ebay are connected. not only that, but i HATE how ebay shuts your account if your paypal account is limited. It's like neither one of these two (ebay and paypal) know what the hell is going on....but shutting down your account is their only solution for any thing. it's like shoot first, ask later.

It would annoy me too which is why I make regular withdrawals from GayPal. Assuming you're not doing anything dodgy Biffo then it should be ok. The dropshippers I use always provide tracking numbers so I enter that on PP. So long as your activity is not too erratic then your account should not be limited.

Nope, nothing dodgey, well unless meta marketing is dodgey? haha, but either way, I was taking about 30 sales a day...
