Google Panda Update ... BE READY

For the people seeing positive movement, how old are your sites and how many pages on average?

I have not seen any movement at all for any of my sites. Not even fluctuations in ranking.

I've not seen any fluctuation either, but i don't think there is any substantial link to how old a site is and how many pages there are with fluctuation. It is more likely that the Panda hasnt hit us yet or hasn't affected our sites.

I am seeing lots of dance.....anybody knows what the recent update was targeting?

Lots of dancing for me as well. Let's hope it stabilizes higher.

I was just speaking to a reputable member who is also a moderator here, stated that this new update is targeting spammy links AND links that used spun content...

This is concerning since many of the services here contains spun content...strategies need to be changed and only unique content must be used for us to survive any new updates...

that is so not true that the updates is targetting spun content site jeez where you get ya info from some people just come out with some statement that want to make ya puke, btw if services on here started using unique content the price of service has to triple, as writing unique content is not as cheap as you think.

Ah, it's good not having to worry about Google algorithm updates anymore. Thank you, quality backlink strategies! :)

You always have to worry about it. But yeah spun content and thousands of pr0 links in general are not winning strategies.

Well, we also gotta prepare for the avalanche of Drama threads that are gonna come up in here after the update

Where did I get that from? Well if you really want to know..

BigBuddy one of the most reputable member here...

He knows what he's talking about...don't you think?

Anyways if you want I can post the msg's here to prove it, of course with his permission that is..

BTW I rather pay triple the amount and get QUALITY work done then pay less and get garbage...my two cent....

I'm seeing some major serp changes across all 50 something niches I monitor.
Not little changes either... usually +/- in the double digits for every site I track (which number in the thousands, as most are not my own... I monitor them for backlinking analysis)

At any rate, I don't think spun content matters... embedded garbage homepage links are driving major players up post this update... and there's also a huge increase once again pushing up huffpost/walmart/amazon/forbes etc etc

Google's strategy with these updates is too painfully clear

I love when google cites these minuscule figures about their "changes"... I'd love to see how many ACTUALLY competitive search queries have changed. As I said, all of the ones I monitor did.
There's absolutely nothing wrong with spun content, so long as it is very good. My sites are relatively unscathed, for NOW

I've seen some huge jumps in my youtube videos... going from 2/4 pages to the 1st page in high rankings.

I forgot to mention this... Youtube is ranking #1 for some god damn hypercompetitive terms now.

I guess the European commission telling google "Stop promoting your own products!" meant "Make Youtube #1"

Noticed that sites I haven't done any recent linkbuilding too have been affected most, anybody else sharing the same experience ?

I have a similar experience...one of my sites is going down the drain in terms of rank and traffic over the past month..

You think this is still ongoing or is it finished yet? My traffic is down quite a lot.

I don't know if its is done or not..but all my rankings are back to the original positions (1st page top 3 positions) preying that it stays there and don't move to any
other positions.
