[Guide] Make some cash from beta games.

Hello, this will be my first guide here at Blackhatworld. The method used may not be new for everyone.

I tried this out a couple of months ago, but never recorded any of it. But now I thought that someone might find it usefull.

New games is a big thing for about everyone useing a computer and allmost every game will have a beta client and testing phase. But to get in there, you need a key/invite.

I used contentlocking to monetize this. But you can probably tweek it in several ways.


Step one: Make a landing page.

I used blogger for this. I made a simple template and put out some information about what the site was all about.

"Hi, this is my site where you can get a free beta key for "game". Just click one of the download links below" <--- Something like that. (upload a text file with a random key in it.)

I used some fake dowload links to make it look like I had several keys.

For example

DOWNLOAD
DOWNLOAD
DOWNLOAD (Taken)

Etc. I also mentioned that I would update the links every day.


Step two: Get the content locker in place.

I dont even remember what site I used for this. I have very limited experiences with who offers the best services so I cant recomend anything.
But anyway, put the bastards in the download links.


Step three: Get some traffic.

This can be done in alot of ways. I set up Google Alerts to find som forums to post on (this worked better than I thougt).
I also used the art of spamming. I went to streaming sites (Twitch.tv etc) and simply posted the link with a nice message in the chat box. This was the main income of traffic.


And thats pretty much it. Some tweeks will follow below.

Tweeks:

Add a Facebook script that will make the user like and link to your Facebook page. If you are the first to do this, your site might very well go viral.

Content lock links to a file downloading site, I have seen a couple that offers a few bucks for every 1k dowload and stuff like that.

Well thats all, I made about 10 $ from this in a couple of days. I didnt proceed after that, but it is very expandable.

I had some other things going, both online and offline. But I might try this out in a bigger scale some thime

Im currently doing this and yes it works. Throw some fake comments on your site and it will convert even better.

Yep it works.Ranking well in google for an upcoming game and have been earning good.

Not sure what you mean, beta games comes and goes all the time. Just do some Google searching and you'll find them.

If you mean the keys, then the answear is from no where. Just make one up and say you have it and if people complain, say that the one thay picked was already taken by some one else.

Well yes, if you could do that then that would be great. But the thing is if there is a game that hands out that many keys, then there would not be any point in makeing the site since the keys would be everywhere.

This works because there is a high demand and a low supply. So the fake content is pretty much needed.
