I used to do this shit. Most of you are probably familiar with it.
I say I have 3 envelopes. One has $100, one has $2,500, and one has $10,000. I tell them at the end of the auction, I will "randomly" pick one and whichever it is, they get the money. Of course, all the time I "randomly" picked the $100 one lol.
The most the auction ever ended for was like $450, so they paid me via paypal, and I would send a $100 refund saying you won envelope #3, so with that auction I made $350. Sometimes I make $50, 60, or even 20. But, hey it was money for free.
Envelope #1 contained $2,500, envelope #2 contained $10,000, and envelope #3 contained $100. I would say thanks for playing blah blah blah.
90% no one argued because they know either 2 things, they took a chance or they were just plain stupid.
It was nice taking advantage of people like that. But, mystery envelopes auction just died out of no where.
Just wanted to share a blast from the past.
