How much should I post to web 2.0 sites?

Good question bwaldon4,
In the eyes of search engines it may not matter so much how frequently you post on these sites. For example if you only have one article. One thing you should avoid is creating a bunch from one IP address or using the same email account and author information.
Some web 2.0 sites will shut you down if they can see that the content you are putting out there is just a link building tactic. For example Wordpress.com has been known to do this. You may want to post a few times about different topics on more reputable (and hence higher PR) web 2.0 properties. This may mean writing articles that don't link to your site and that aren't relevant to the niche you are targeting.

Depend on how anal the web 2.0 directory is.
I would say wait for 2 days and then come back.

Here is what I do:
1. Create my Web 2.0 accounts and post an introductory post right away.
2. Wait about 5 days and create yet another post updating about something general.
3. After 15-20 days I add a link. This will ensure that your sites are indexed therefore making the link index faster and also helping your web 2.0 avoid deletion. They keep a close eye on new websites.
