Newbie on IM with a few questions

Hi
I come from a forex trading world and I m a newbie here in IM. I really got no idea on where I should start and if I should start since I ve read in BHW that statistics succeeding in IM are more or less same as forex (like 5%-10%). So I ve got a few questions:
1. In forex 95% loss their money (or some of their money like me) and a 5% are getting rich. In IM is it like that? No money/loss money or become rich? Or you could just make just some money but not enough like eg 1$/day etc
2. There are SO MANY categories in IM that I can find in BHW that I m really lost! I do not know on where I should start from! I ve got no idea! I mean Back/White/Grey Hat SEO, blogging, affiliate, articles, CPA, PPC, PPV, torrents etc etc... I do not even know what all these acronyms mean! Ok I m sure the answer is STUDY! Ok I will! But I need to know, since I ve got NO IDEA on what all these are, if i should start from something specific? Do I need to study ALL of these in order to start doing something and start making money with IM?
3. Is there any educational material like a webinar/seminar you can recommend that I can/should get and that will boost my IM knowledge?

Hello. Welcome aboard. 1. I dont know about forex but IM is about long term passive income. It is hard work definitely , there are risks but its all about learning strategies - improving it lifelong if you want to make more money. If you are in it for short money - forget it. Better to try freelancing. 2. White hat methods - totally legal methods to rank your website. Black hat - is using some loopholes to your advantage , using tools to automate your work and stuff. Grey hat is combination of both. All these methods are for reaching your target market. These are some of the ways to make money online : CPA - cost per action. you get paid when a person signs up or signs up for an offer etc. affiliate - when a person buys a product through you, you make some comission. ppc - paid per click ppv - paid per view Quick tip : GO through the sticky threads in the 'Making money' section first. read all sticky threads in all sections. It's always like when it comes to the art of money making. Success goes to the smartest, most knowledgeable, hard working and apt people. If you fail to make money from forex it's because you are not doing the right thing. I advice you get an expert on forex to train you.

From my experience, lots of business models require marketing. If you can learn some marketing and SEO you will do just fine easily and fit into most of those stuff you talked about. On the other hand, you don't have to do everything yourself, if you have the resource you can outsource.

Take your time and find out which of those business models appeals to you and also works in your area before dedicating some time to it and learning the ins and out.

You have to be specific about your area of interest before anyone can point you to a great resource.

All I can say brother is good luck, make friends, and treat this community as gold. Also either learn to write custom tools or find a good programmer and make him/her your best friend. A good coder can take your 50/day method and blow it up into 500/day. Just my two cents. And I wish you nothing but the best!

Hi and welcome. In IM everything is up to you and how much effort you put in to your work (Forex is much more gambling.). If you really want you can succeed . The first thing to do whatever method you are planning to use is to learn how to set up a website and do proper on-page SEO work.

Goodluck Bro I think you should be first familiarized with the terms. I always Google terms unfamiliar to me. This place is a goldmine and full of information on IM.

Many thanks for all your answers. I must say I m very impressed and suprised by your quality and speed of your answers. You guys look very helpful and its really important our days. In my country we relearn how important is to be helpful but in the hard way.

john1444: I m trading for the last 4+ years but still cant pass to the other side. I m aware I need a mendor but its not that easy to find the right one. Everyday I receive hundreds of emails and experts etc etc. I cant trust those. And I ve been scammed in the past.

I would start reading the White hat SEO forum and Website Design. Once you learn how to properly optimize and create a website you will notice that nothing happens, no traffic, just a nice site sitting in digital space.
