How do you find the right thing to sell...

Research... research and research...

But how?
Care to show how you do the research?

Been hearing from most people, use terapeak and your future will be bright when selling at ebay.

Even the free feature I am confusing on how exactly to use...

Care to show me how you do it?

I want to learn, and not asking "what are you selling so I can sell it too and make profit"... Instead I ask "teach me how you choose what you sell"...

Teach me how to fish, don't give me fish...

p/s: Have been browsing for several days on how to research here and there before end up opening this thread...

to search up the product keyword and see how popular it is and how it's search ratings are.

Look at media in real life. Spend an afteroon fliping through magazines, reading newspapers, watching the news, watch commercials.

Immerse yourself in advertising and marketing.

What do people need? What do they want?

Join clikcbank, shareasale and other networks. Look at top sellers, find products already converting well, and find a market for them.

I have found about 3-4 products that I can sell on ebay for a good product. I just spent about 2 hours on dhgate looking at products and doing a "completed items search" for things they sell.

I ignored items that had less than 20$ profit margin
I ignored items that did not have at least 50% of the auctions ending with a winning bidder.

If I find a seller who is selling a similar item as me, I check out their store and see what else they are selling. Can I get those other products on DHgate?

i've only been experimenting for a week but already i've made 160$ profit on sold items, and I have 6 auctions ending in the next two days which should net me another 330$+

I PMd you one product you can use, I make 40$ a day selling it however I focus on another product more. but remember nobody will give out their best items free! My best selling item there is only one other seller on ebay who carries it (and it might not be fake like mine). experiment until you have found your goldmine!

Look at what you can get dropship/wholesale and then get into a SPECIFIC NICHE. Usually better if your interested in it and know the ins and outs yourself. Dont go for ipods, blah blah blah. They are TOO over populated and you cant make cash. Once youve got your niche, check its not too over populated yet still has a good popularity.

Ill give you this one for free, FISHING. Third largest sport in the WORLD and has many accessories etc that can be sold. Not that overpopulated either as people tend to gravitate towards sports that get high media coverage. If your stuck for ideas, look into fishing

I've had good luck selling musical instruments/effects on ebay - that market is a perfect conflux of collectors who will pay high dollar for vintage and gadget freaks who want the latest and greatest. I think any category of product that has an obsessive fan base (Fender, Apple, designer fashions) is evergreen, but the interesting thing is that the cheap impostor products mimicking them are also quite profitable ( made-in-china stratocasters & iphone knockoffs).
